The official LPB news site has announced that the Nariko SackGirl is an exclusive pre-order bonus from Best Buy stores in the U.S., meaning I might have to tuck away my pride and finally buy $5 of potential game from the retailer, though since Best Buy generally puts their pre-order bonus stuff inside the placeholder boxes on the shelves, it might mean I can snag that code along with the GameStop Kratos for an extra $5.

The Nariko outfit in the UK can be snagged by pre-ordering the game through Play.com, while gamers in the ice spider-infested wilds of Canada are urged to wait a bit longer for an announcement the fiery warrior's sackcloth doppleganger.

Pre-order: And finally...Nariko SackGirl [LittleBigPlanet News - Thanks Dave!]

<![CDATA[Kratos' Armor Makes Guest Appearance in Heavenly Sword]]>
Comparisons between Heavenly Sword and God of War are inevitable considering the similar control scheme, but apparently the creators of HS haven't shied away from giving props (literally) to their obvious inspiration. PlayStation Underground forum poster KiNGoFClubs discovered this little homage to Kratos buried with in the game. During one of Kai's missions, Kratos' GOW2 armor and Blades of Chaos can be spotted hanging on a gate in a castle courtyard. You got to hand it to the designers, if you're going to take inspiration from another game, at least be cool enough to own up to it. You can check out more screen caps here on the PlayStation forums.

[Thanks, Ray]

<![CDATA[New Heavenly Sword Screen Too Good To Be True]]> To show their appreciation to Ninja Theory forum dwellers, the Heavenly Sword team released a single, high res screen from the game focusing on protagonist Nariko.

In-game? No way, you say. But the Ninja Theory folks say otherwise, with one caveat. The screen has been touched up by being "resized a little and with some blurring around the edges so it's perfect as a desktop wallpaper." Interested in using it as such? The 1280 x 1024 full-size shot is linked below.

There's little doubt this game looks good, but we remain suspicious. However, we cannot wait to be proven wrong. Bring it on, Ninja Theory.
