Yakuza 2 Gets American Release Date
Good times! Sega's announced today a release date for Yakuza 2 in the US. Yes, we know, it came out in Japan in 2006, but let's try and look on the bright side for once, eh? It'll be out on September 9 (Europe, you get it on September 28), and instead of trying to get the likes of Michael Madsen back into the recording studio, the sequel will just be sticking to the Japanese voice actors, with English subtitles provided.

Wowzers! SEGA game designer and fashion something Toshihiro Nagoshi appeared at Tokyo retailer Ma-ya in a promotional event for the upcoming Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan!. The fame Monkey Ball creator answered questions about his upcoming PS3 exclusive Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan! (aka Yakuza 3), posed for cell phone pictures, autographed cell phones and looked very, very brown. Bonus points for Nagoshi's coordinating his hair, jacket and skin. More »

MAKES NO SENSE. Those familiar with Toshihiro Nagoshi and his skin will not be shocked. The third installment in the series features what looks like a dominatrix in red leather clothes. In "Waterfall Training," the main character can get new skills if he is able to overcome his shameful desires. It's based on button pushing, so it actually more timing based than actually repression sure urges. Though, what's up with the gal's get-up? Sega's stayed true to its insanity and is moving forward with its dub of Ryu Ga Gotoku (US title: Yakuza). The game was made by Toshihiro "I Love Tanning Salons" Nagoshi and features some crackling Yak dialogue. That of course is going to be replaced with tough-sound American English. Scary! More »
