Ehh...I'll wait for my killzone 2 maps before i try out these(at someone else's house). I like how killzone 2's maps are designed better and they force the tacticality of battle that people love from the games like COD4 and Killzone 2. that's why people like those games, because they have actual need for tactics and inventive thinking and a usage for teamwork other than "lets gang up on that one noob over there". the teamwork forced with killzone 2 are more like "cook a grenade and toss it in that room over there and kill most of them and flush them out while i set up a turret and sentry bots and place a spawn point to summon the rest of the team to finish them off."
Oh Fahey, don´t even mention it. Mine is in the same "vacation" right now. It might be tripping to hell because we don´t have actual service from Microsoft here (only if we buy their 1500 dollar plus version of 360 available here). Since I bought mine in Spain they won´t give support for it. So, the trip is in an un-microsoft technician, and I doubt it´s going to last much after that. Shame because I love Halo!! :´(
@JimeOB: is it seriously worth $50 to play halo about 52/365 times a year? i dont know what's so fun about spending money to play a service that's free for wii, PS3 and PC owners that hasn't really been officially proven to be better than them, especially when you're barely using it. some of you may be getting your money's worth from it, but things like this....
Live is worth every penny I pay (which is actually less than 3200 pennies for me).
I'm so utterly sick of my PSN issues, especially since I have no other issues with my internet.
I love KZ2, but it's just not as interesting or as fun as Halo3. It always seems like your grinding in KZ2, whereas Halo3 is pickup and play. My opinion.
@WontonTiger: Again I know I sound like I'm beating on a dead horse but just the ability to play with four of your closest buddies all at the same time in the same room online makes the price of admission more than worth the $3-4 dollars I pay for Live every month. I might not play it (or games in general for that matter) very often as I'm usually really busy but its a nice trade off for sure.
@eddienoteddy: Good thing im not a true fan then. The MP aspect of Halo is showing its age considerably when you put it against a lot of the newer games out now.
@Tom Clancy's Samuraidino: Really, cause I have yet to see a game with a fraction of the MP features and options Halo 3 has on a console. I'll give you that graphics have improved with games like CoD4 and Killzone 2 but as for features and options I don't think its been topped and that doesn't even get into stat tracking. As for gameplay it depends on what you like. I have not played many games that offer the variety of gameplay options that Halo 3 does. As far as I'm concerned its still the best "sandbox" style FPS on consoles. Definitely not realistic like CoD4 or Killzone, but that's not what they're going for.
@Gray665: Yeah, but more =/= better. Sure it has a lot of different modes, but people play Killzone 2 and COD4 because theyre also as fun, if not more fun in their opinions for what they do. Having different options in some cases doesnt make any difference when talking in terms of how you play them, Killzone has a fun class system with upgradable weapons, COD4 and killzone have experience upgrading for stuff like that and fun usage of weapons like grenades(you can actually cook them^my name). and with the usage of weaponry and classes and teamwork that those games use, it adds the sense that tactical attacks are an absolute necessity, as opposed to "i saw a noob and now i'm 'bout to splatter him with my ghost".
this map pack is actually very much worth it. not only for additional gamerscore but also the maps play very very well. too bad no shotgun on any of them :(
Yeah don't those who got the collector's edition of Halo Wars already have this? I was at a friend's place and I thought he said we were playing the Mythic Pack because of his CoEd. Maybe I'm thinking of something else. Not the biggest Halo fan...
Someone's going to have to tell me how this one is. I don't have Live Gold anymore so there's no reason to buy this pack, but I would at least like to know if it's any good. I had a lot of fun with Halo 3 back in the day.

Halo 3's got dynamic lighting, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Oh, wow, cooking grenades! That's never ever been done before in a game. I need to run out and buy a PS3 RIGHT NOW.

They also mentioned that the legendary map pack would never be free.
I love halo, and once I get my xbox live subscription going again for another year I'm definately buying these maps.

They've only said they had no plans. Just like Sony had no plans for the PSP2.
