    @Lucasreis - it´s a me, Lukio!: I was just about to comment about that. I really enjoyed deadly alliance. Thought it was the best of the next gen MK. It makes me wonder why on earth they released MK VS DC and it was just stripped down.

    Most people considered Deadly alliance to be cluttered and a mess. MK vs DC wasn't stripped down really at all. It felt very much like a traditional MK game.

    @zer0faults: No kidding. It's somewhat ironic that this DLC will never hit due to the game being a catastrophic failure when inclusion of this content from the get go would've likely helped it be a slightly less catastrophic failure.

    @gordiehowe5: Not just Quan Chi...but more characters in general. That roster was hilariously small comparred to what we have seen from crossover's in the past.

    Hey if this helps Midway from closing down more power to 'em. Even if you didn't like the game I find it odd some people wish ill-will to a company...


    I wonder if they'll be releasing that new MK game they're working on this year...Seems a bit too soon if they are.

    Why is 1.8 million copies shipped something to brag about? All that means is you sent it to retailers. I used a copier today, anybody want to praise me on that?

    @Mister_Jack: Well that's because companies don't ship out that many copies of a game unless its selling well. MK vs DC must be doing well enough that it warranted having 1.8million copies sent to stores around the world. I'm sure when the actual sales numbers are released the game will have a ton of sold copies. If you saw the NPD stuff it was number 2 on PS3 and number 7 on the 360 for sold games in December [www.gamegrep.com] which is a pretty impressive feat considering some of the competition it beat out that month included prince of persia, and fable 2.

    @Mister_Jack: The article clearly states it has sold over 1 million, and it would be difficult to believe that there are over 800,000 copies left in retail.


    So, what does it mean? It means the game is a success and will continue to sell. That's the point of stating the shipped numbers (besides trying to sound impressive).

    It's not like Mortal Kombat is a competent fighter compared to SF, Guilty Gear, or Soul Calibur. The only reason it existed in the first place was for the fatalities. Take them out and the games are utterly pointless.
