Hopefully this is just one MH PSP game. I'd rather have Portable 3 with some of the content that's been introduced into Frontier since 2G was released and new monsters/zones/weapons.
Gee, what's this, the tenth MH on PSP? Someone once said how Capcom was the greatest 3rd party developer of all time... this proves them wrong. #monsterhunter
@AlucardsQuest: Actually it's only the fourth MonHun on PSP. Portable 1, 2, and 2G. Hell, there aren't even 10 Monster Hunter games period. #monsterhunter
@Bellamy: Considering that 1 and 2 on PSP are mainly ports of 1G and 2 on PS2 and that 2G on PSP is just an updated version of 2 I wouldn't say there are 10 distinct MH games.
I'd probably just count 1-3, this and frontier. #monsterhunter
@Odin: 1G was a port from PSP to PS2 with additional content wasn't it? Like bringing the updated PSP version back to PS2 to hype for ~dos' launch?
~dos and portable 2 are almost completely different games though and 2G is just an expanded portable 2 with content from Frontier(prior to 2Gs release anyways).
Really it's just been one game with expansions up until tri~. They changed the villages and kept adding content and weapons, then tri~ comes out as a pseudo-reboot gameplaywise. #monsterhunter
-Had a title blatantly claiming it involves the Felynes(or Airu)
or
-Been announced as a spin-off starring them
either. But, like, you're acting as if the only ifnormation is a picture. They know the name, which has Airu in it, and the game was announced. This isn't speculation and jumping to conclusions. #monsterhunter
@Blore07: Well, seeing as the tentative title apparently translates to "Monster Hunter Diaries Felyne Village" i'd say Tsunamidusher made a fair assumption. #monsterhunter
@maelstromALPHA: Thats the point, the entire article is about the fact there IS and has been confirmed that a Felyne spinoff game is coming. There was no assumption needed, Tsunamidusher obviously didnt read the actual article (or just not very carefully). #monsterhunter
@Blore07: You might want to say that to "WhiteMage" up there then. When I first posted this, the topic said something different and then was edited.
Even on that logical note, you can stop pretending to be high and mighty. Advertisement is about getting your message across in the promotional art.
So, perhaps you could explain why he said to me"There's no way ti could focus on the Felynes. Not like the freaking story explicitly says it does or anything."
He was in the same boat I am, so you can quit your own "assumptions" #monsterhunter
@Tsunamidusher: Because he was being so obviously sarcastic... you really didnt pick that up?
And dont worry, I know a thing or two about advertising, however, it had nothing to do with that, the article stated that there was going to be the game, it didnt need you to say
"this almost looks like a cutesy spin off, like the Priney game from Dragon Quest... Is this going to focus around Felynes?"
However, if the article did change after you'd already posted, fairs fair, and i'm sorry.
But yeah, what whitegamer said, he was being sarcastic, I know it can be hard to pick that kinda thing up from type and on the internet but thats what he was trying to convey. #monsterhunter
@Shinkirou: Because those Felynes are true comrades. Face the horror of towering monsters that could crush you in one blow and the tiny ass cat runs up and saves your ass by smacking the dragon that's even bigger to him or her in comparison and you'll know the meaning of true friendship.
Those cats have done more for hunters than any mascot and they will be honored damn it. They deserve the love. They faithfully sit in the kitchen and cook our meals. They tend to our fields and our mines, our fishing decks and mushrooms and bugs. Then they go above and beyond the call of duty for us.
Kushala, Tigrex, Narga be damned. Those cats will fight on for you. #monsterhunter
@Black-Dog-Howls:
And then they throw a bomb in your face and blow up your carefully placed barrel bombs and you with them. I give that cat a right kicking with the select button when he does that to me.
I quickly learned to leave the bugger at home or switch to my passive cat on missions where I want to bomb crap. #monsterhunter
@Odin: I really only use bombs on monsters that the cat it away by default. Other than that I really just use the regular traps and make large bomb +s for my mining cave. #monsterhunter
@PoorLumpyPony: I have a passive (no attack) cat I'm training up as support. About all attack cats are useful for is Rob em blind as most of the time it's as good as an extra carve.
@Revenge_of_Nekojin:
I don't use them a lot but I will use them if:
A) I'm trying to break parts.
B) They're in the supplies, because hey why not.
C) If I'm farming a particular monster and want to keep my battle time short. Or if I'm doing a double hunt and I want to take one out a bit quicker.
D) I'm doing a new difficult monster for the first time.
I only really employ D because it makes the first go a lot more forgiving if you just blast off a chunk of its health with bombs. Allows you to learn the fight and still have a good chance of finishing it. #monsterhunter
Can't believe there's still no sign of Dead Rising 2. What's their excuse this time? Can't be swine flu since it looks like they've slaughtered the pigs to make those dolls. BTW I think Totillo would like one of those dolls.

Actually, this makes the 10th MH game. The other 9 are:
1, 1G, 2 on PS2
1, 2, 2G on PSP
1G and 3 on Wii
Frontier on PC. #monsterhunter

Wait a sec, this almost looks like a cutesy spin off, like the Priney game from Dragon Quest... Is this going to focus around Felynes?
