I wish they would let you download the online levels in the background to play later. I find most of the time the servers are too slow to play levels being shared by others. I believe I've played less than 10 levels since launch.
I wish they would release more official level packs too.
@Polite Society - Being Polite, Socially.: I've played easily over 1000 user created levels since launch. I have very rarely ever had to wait more than 20 seconds to load a level. And my internet connection sucks ass.
Hmm...Its a Sony news thread and I don't see any 360 fanboys posting how stupid a re-release of a game thats less than a year old is and how Sony is a money grubbing evil empire.
@Vecha: Tired of America's Solution to Health Care.: No my point was actually related to the 360 articles posted earlier that were close to 90% PS3 owners complaining about one thing or another related to the 360.
Their defense was that PS3 threads have 360 fanboys complaining in them too. Which isn't the case at all.
So PS3 fanboys aren't the same as 360 fanboys? WTF is this some new kind of elitism? Sorry they are all the same the only thing that differs is their console of choice.
@Kakuki: Yeah...it seems most PS3 fanboys have more time on their hands and are a lot more bitchy. At least the Kotaku commenters. I invite you to comb the threads. The proof is there. 360 fanboys don't give a shit about Sony news. PS3 fanboys are attracted to Microsoft news like sharks to blood.
I think its because we're happier, but I'm sure you have different ideas...
@billysan: It's just a shame you can't put the paintball gun on your sackboy as an accessory, but it's instead tied to the level.
After getting frustrated too many times in a row I gave up on LBP. It's a shame really, but at the same time I don't miss it at all and rather jump into BF1943 which I'm getting bored with.
I loved the Metal Gear Solid level I would love to see new levels with sony only properties like Infamous, Killzone 2, Drake's Uncharted, God of War. Anything like that would be fun.
I really like LBP, until i have to play it, upon which i find it kind of samey and not very fun. to watch, beautiful, to admire sublime to battle those druggy sack movements and to get stuck in scenery, frustrating as ****.
So i love LBP, but I hate it. anyone feel the same?
@oskarkeo: I'd be the first to criticize a platformer based on bad movement physics (jumping, etc). But I have no issue with LBP. Does it play exactly like Mario? Nope. Should it? Nope. LBP is its own game.
Actually in parts i thought it felt really mario, and i liked that. But overall the platforming kind of feels unnescessary to me. LBP's charm is in everything else.
@FP_slomo788: yeah playing that stage is akin to getting kicked in the groin by a football jock wearing cleats, running at full force. yes that kind of pain.
@FP_slomo788: Yeah... recalling that wheel makes me grind my teeth and breath heavily whilst furrowing my brow.
I'd regard it as the single most difficult mandatory section of the default levels... and has, on numerous occasions, ruined my attempts to have a perfect run through the level (completing without dying). RAGE!
@Mit: Why would you hope that? You know Sony isn't THAT stupid to charge $60 for something you can get for $30 and then download free. Now, maybe if Sony charged $20 for it, then they could offer it.
@Dreamwriter: They're user-created levels, so one point in time they already were free. It's not easy to find specific levels all the time, though, and it sounds like MM themselves probably helped the creators put some finishing touches on their levels for the retail release.
The $30 worth of add-on packs is enough to justify the $60 re-release price tag anyways.
@Mit: No, these levels never were free. The creators made free levels that got MM's attention, then MM commissioned them to make new levels just for this package.
Not a bad package deal. I've already got the original game, so I won't be springing for this one, but if you don't have LBP yet this is definitely gonna be worth your time.
@bakagaijin: I don't know anything concrete, but some of the bigger LBP level creators out there (like the dude behind the Azure Palace, who MM loves and even brought onto QORE once to pimp the game) have all said something big related to LBP is coming tomorrow.
Also, a Media Molecule employee confirmed on the PS Blog that something big is coming tomorrow. I'd listen to him.
@Archaotic: oh right, so they'll be launching the group create feature that has been whispered in reverence amongst the beta community for the past few months?
@EnigmaNemesis: Fallout 3 + 5 DLC packs (at $10 a pop) for $60 isn't so bad, considering it could only be a better deal if you could find Fallout 3 on your platform of choice for less than $10...
And if you are going for PC, then you would have to find it for free. :P
I agree ... I will be buying the GotY Fallout 3 edition for the PC. Just that tot he average consumer ... it looks whacked. They dont understand the whole DLC thing. Just a re-release of an older game at the same price.
They didnt buy it then, what would compel them to by it now. The price is there for those who wait such as myself, ROFL.
I'm SOOOOOO glad I bought this earlier and paid for DLC one by one. I'm ready to chuck this thing at GameStop anyway, it's dull after you play through it once. The only fun is creating levels and the tools are too limited for much imagination.
@EnigmaNemesis: I guess I should say the game itself is limited by my imagination. Opinion, of course. But I just haven't played any levels that scream creativity. It's all the same principles recycled into themes. If I see another, "Look it's LittleBigMario!" or something like that I will gouge my eyes out.
Again, just my opinion. But I tired of the game too quickly, even after the added paint gun. The GOTY edition was just sort of the final nail in the coffin for me.

It's a decent value though but the only DLC packs that are really interesting is the 2 MGS packs.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Sony skipped GC and announced the Slim next week or something.

A re-release of Fallout 3 will be the same price as the original as well.
I think it is the new trend.

This is why i am waiting on getting certain games from now on, they will just be released later at a cheaper price.

Now that is a better explanation, and I can totally understand where you are coming from.

I think it has potential. If the tracks are really as customizable as they seem, maybe...
It's like LittleBigPlanet without the insane learning curve. I dropped that game because I was too dumb to learn it.
