I think EA has a good shot. I am more likely to buy Bad Company 2 than Modern Warfare 2.

I know he was supposed to be talking up Medal of Honor, but it just made me want to play some Bad Company 2 multiplayer...

I gotta get me a beta code...

    @RoboticSpacePenguin: seconded.

I honestly feel that Bad Company is better than the first MW and BC2 will almost certainly be better than MW2 since it was little more than a minor expansion on the story of the first one.

I think they'd garner a lot more attention, especially on consoles, if they strived to make Bad Company 2 atleast a 64 player game. Battlefield 2 is one of my favorite multiplayer PC games almost exclusively because of how many players are on maps at a time, and how well the teamwork works out between the squads and commander.

Laughable that he thinks Bad Company 2 might do better than MW2 though. I'm sorry, BC2 is not going to be the next fastest-selling game of all time, and is probably not going to sell more copies than any other game this generation (like MW2 undoubtedly will, should it surpass MW1's sales).

In any case, they've revealed the next Medal of Honor,

NOW WHERE IS MY BATTLEFIELD 3 AT

@Mit: If you've had the chance to play the Bad Company 2 beta, the player cap is perfect imo due to the map layout. The game starts off with 2 bases, but as the attackers advance and destroy the defending bases the map expands into newer areas, from open ground to urban combat, to a ship harbor. What made Battlefield 1942's 64 multiplayer work so well was the sheer size and openness of the maps. Bad Company 2 focuses the action on key locations, at least for the beta mode.

@Ackers thanks Brian Ashcraft: What does Sony have to do with this?

Activision will donate money for each person on Xbox Live, it certainly didn't say Microsoft told Activision to donate money. Microsoft is making Gold accounts free that day, but Activision still chose to make this applicable only to one console.

It does seem rather ironic, playing a game where one of the levels has you killing innocents, to raise money to help other innocents... Hm.....

But it has been said; Activision are money grabbing, shameless publicity whores...

@maxtothez: It iss just the fact that it is a war game where innocents are killed, and you play as a soldier in a warzone that is raising money to help people from a warzone, to me that just seems ironic.

@Mikeh12: It's not that ironic. When publicity and charity collide, the two usually have something in common. Take Child's Play for example; would it have made as much sense if it were run by the creators of a webcomic that focused on, say, movies instead of video games? No, they'd probably ask you to donate movies to keep the kids entertained. Same things apply here. Modern Warfare 2 is a violent game for sure, but it's not oblivious or ignorant to the outcomes of that violence.

Seems that naming the program Peace Child might have been a bit more P.C. I'm glad they went with "War." Ballsy, I like ballsy.

@Friedhamster: but children in peaceful areas are rarely affected like the war torn and its makes a lot more sense to call it warchild nothing really ballsy about it. also i dont want to sound insulting or anything so "nice try though."

@robnroll: Right, I get that, but I don't think they want these children to remain in those war torn areas.
They don't call the whole 'Green Movement' the 'Polluted Earth' movement, they don't call 'Recyling' 'Reusing Old Crap,' and they don't call buying from a 'Thrift Store' buying from a store that sells 'Stuff Other People Didn't Want.'

My point being organizations tend to put a nice word on things, even if it deals with something not so nice.

Calling it Peace Child wouldn't mean they had to help kids in peaceful areas.

@Friedhamster: i know what your getting at but those charities you mentioned are trying to change something. warchild isn't ending the war or getting them out of that area but aiding those in the war area. honestly i understand im just stating the difference. im very annoying in specifics like that.

There have been better games than some of those that have gotten perfects from Famitsu, and there are also better games than MW2. These review scores don't really matter to me, but I personally wouldn't give MW2 a perfect score. I'll agree with the one Famitsu reviewer that gave it a 9.
