I would actually give this a look. My first instinct was "but would this really work on a PC platform?". Then I read the comment about wasting time at work and thought "Banzai!".
Seriously though, they need to make this a web based game so people can play it at work who don't have install priveledges. That would be a bad/fantastic idea.
Anyway, I have never really seen the point of Brain Training, as game or 'brain trainer,' but the DS version was, at the least, portable, making it a viable time-waster for long journeys.
Why would you look at this! Home is actually becoming awesome! Now some more baseline feature changes added onto these new spaces, plus standardizing game launching support for upcoming multiplayer games, and you've got yourself a winner IMO.
I think that Home should have a point based system to buy stuff from the mall along with actual money. EA and other Home contributors could then give out these points from winning at poker/races/arcade games.
@nukee: An idea I came up with was there should be some sort of unlockable item in Home for every game on the PS3. You'd get said item by getting your platinum trophy for that game. What the item is would be completely up to the company that made the game. Make it a t-shirt, hoodie, chair, anything that Home users could use to show off to other people. If it was for Killzone 2 I would make it a Helghast uniform.

Sony Online Entertainment, a company even less in sync with Sony's gamedivision than their different regional studios?
