I'm just pondering how many RTS games there actually are on the current Gen consoles cos honestly i can't think of that many, then again i'm not an RTS fan so some titles have probably passed me by...

Anyways my thought is if there aren't that many RTS titles and this has the Halo name tagged to it why are they declaring it's the best selling like it would be difficult to acheive said status?

and I know I might be missing one or two.

And saying it's best selling is like saying "EVERYONE HAS THIS GAME, WHY DON'T YOU?!?"

@MiST: Yeah, they worded their "success" as if there were a lot of console ar-tee-ess' out there, when there's like 8 of em. Had it been something like "this game sold the most out of all of the WW2 video games!" then yes, that's impressive, but really, who cares about a million games sold for a halo game? it's to be expected.

@Albert Samuel: Surprisiningly I know 2 people who went home called me and went WFT?!! This SUXORZ I WAS RIPPED, etc, etc.
I wish people researched a tad bit before purchasing some of these games. Of course a Halo game is universially known as an FPS.

@goldwings: @IsLaNd3r - and the chipmunks: TBH, halo fanboys are not the smartest bunch i've ever met. :/ @zombiebashr: @Albert Samuel: It's because microsoft cleverly made their new commercial for it with nothing but CGI and nostalgic music. No gameplay at all. any halo fanboy would run out of their house blindfolded, sniff out the nearest gamestop(etc) and grab one off the shelf and say "heres my wallet" and leave.

@Kenny: I wouldn't expect it at all but if I were expecting it then it's probably best to wait till we get dates for a Windows 7 launch.

Think of Halo2 coming exclusively for Vista translate to Halo 3 for Windows 7.

I love my xbox, but RTS games just arn't as good when I'm not on my PC.

I played the demo of this, controls were pretty intuitive, but still very clunky compared to a good ol' K+M

@xcalibr: The controls for Halo Wars are about as good as you can get for a console RTS. I enjoyed Halo Wars, but I agree that RTS games belong on the PC.

@eddienoteddy: I bought Halo Wars and enjoyed it. I didn't buy the collectors with the map pack nor do I own Halo 3 any more.

The game is good enough to sell well on its own.
