And you can be damn sure Uwe Boll will do everything he can to make sure it doesn't. That's right, we're back for another round of Boll vs. Bay in which crappy low budget director Uwe Boll and crappy big budget director Michael Bay butt heads! Boll said in an exclusive video:

Hi here's Uwe Boll, I'm very happy to say the fight is on. Boll Vs. Bay. It's a rumble in the jungle 2, it will be in Kinshasa, Zaire. I think September 30th will be the fight. Boll against Bay. He agreed to do it, I'm very proud of it. So if you want to be live there you need ten tickets from Postal opening May 23rd. You bring these tickets and this will be the entry to the boxing fight, Boll against Bay. Or you can buy tickets on eBay or wherever else you can buy it, of course also, but I think the cheapest way is with the Postal tickets. OK, so Michael Bay, start training and I think you will go down to be honest. I think round three or round four you will go down in history, not only for the worst war movie ever: Pearl Harbor, no, also for the worst boxer in the ring against Uwe Boll ever. Thank you.

Uwe Boll, publicity genius. Video after the jump.
The moderator over at Bay's official site writes:
Just spoke to Mike, and it's false. This guy is really creepy, he's creeping me out.

BTW, Michael has never spoken to him and won't speak to him. Mike has a movie to deliver for June 2009, unlike this idiot.

Boll doesn't deserve press for his lame movie, so this is the last we talk about him in these forums. This press stunt will tank.

<![CDATA[ Michael Bay vs. Uwe Boll Round 2 ]]> detailsfeatures5v.jpg To recap the pissing match: Director Uwe Boll called director Michael Bay a "fucking retard." Bay responded by saying Boll was a "sad being." Boll then stated Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg were signing the anti-Uwe internet petition on various assumed names. Your move, Bay:

Can we stop talking about this guy! I never even heard his name till last week when he made threats and rants. The guy is a fucking idiot, making threats to me, Clooney, Eli Roth, says he has a doctorate - but uses the word "retard" in his vocabulary, come on. When you look at his videos, what is interesting are the backgrounds. I guess his low rent offices, with 15 year old 3/4 machines, archaic computers, this is just some dumb chump trying to get some fame when he has none, so he has to make Youtube lame quality anger rants. Guy just want attention because he can't get any for the so called movies he makes. Nothing sadder when he had his screening in LA to an over half empty movie house.

He is a troubled soul — let's not waste time on talking about him please.

Dumb chump? Troubled soul? Let's not talk about him? Michael Bay's certainly not as much fun as Uwe. Hit the jump for the inevitable clip of Boll talking about pudding.

<![CDATA[ Michael Bay Responds To "Fucking Retard" Remark ]]> Fucking Retard Michael Bay is a powerful man. He's not a fucking retard. So when Uwe Boll called Michael Bay a fucking retard, the Armageddon director thought he should, you know, say something. On his own official message board, Bay wrote:

I find people who rant like that - calling shit about both me, and George Clooney - comes from someone screaming because he is not being heard. He is obviously a sad being. When you ask 'do I care?' Not in the slightest.

M

Yah, Michael cares about other things. Important things. Things like blowing shit up. Elsewhere director Eli Roth, who was also slammed by Boll, said the remarks were the "greatest compliment ever." That's what the kids call being facetious.

<![CDATA[ Porn Studio Aims to Please PS3 Owners ]]> BDPorn.jpg The format drama continues! Adult video maker Digital Playground initially picked HD DVD for its new format, but now is supporting both HD DVD and Blu-ray "until there is a clear-cut winner," says company founder Joone. This February will see eight Digital Playground titles on Blu-ray. What caused the change of heart? Says Joone:

A lot of people were emailing that bought a PlayStation and they were basically saying, 'When are you guys going to release Blu-ray?' They really have no preference in format yet because it's so new. When it comes down to image quality, there is no difference between the two.

Try telling that to film director Michael Bay.

<![CDATA[ Michael Bay Slams Microsoft Over HD-DVD, Calls Blu-ray "Superior" ]]> michael_bay_mimes.jpgDirector Michael Bay, the director of thought-pausing summertime fare like Transformers and Armageddon, whose latest blockbuster is available exclusively on HD-DVD and DVD, took a swipe at Microsoft in his official forums today. In the "Ask Michael Bay" sub-forum, a user complained about the unavailability of Bay's movies on the Blu-ray format, one backed by Sony and standard on PlayStation 3s. Fanboy Bay fired back!

What you don't understand is corporate politics. Microsoft wants both formats to fail so they can be heroes and make the world move to digital downloads. That is the dirty secret no one is talking about. That is why Microsoft is handing out $100 million dollar checks to studios just embrace the HD DVD and not the leading, and superior Blu Ray. They want confusion in the market until they perfect the digital downloads. Time will tell and you will see the truth.

Is Michael Bay in need of a sturdier tinfoil hat or is Microsoft intentionally sabotaging the next-gen format war for its own benefit? Since we haven't been on the receiving end of any $100 million checks, we can't say for sure. Or is that just one of the stipulations of our continued payment from Microsoft? *dun dun duunnnn*

<![CDATA[ Bollywood Star for Prince of Persia Film ]]> One thing we know: the Michael Bay/Jerry Bruckheimer adaptation of Prince of Persia will feature explosions, slow-mo and at least ONE fruit cart exploding in slow motion. What we don't know: who will play the lead. Mumbai tabloid MID DAY is reporting that Bollywood actor John Abraham (above) will. See, a fan named Venetia Sarll has been rallying for Abraham to get the part and has posted sketches of him in Persia garb. What does Abraham think?

Venetia is the most dedicated member of my site. I just loved the sketches she has made. In fact, there was even an online poll on a fan site and her sketches topped the list.

Still, nothing has been confirmed. Until then, keep encouraging 'em John.

<![CDATA[ Digital Domain to Develop Video Games? ]]>
Hollywood Director Michael Bay (Bad Boys, Miami Vice) is co-chairman of Digital Doman, a special effects studio that is interested in getting into the business of video games. Digital Domain has already started looking into acquiring one or two development companies for their new venture and even started talking to other directors who may be interested.

Most film-based games are developed through third parties, and filmmakers often have little or no creative control. By contrast, Digital would let filmmakers direct their own games.

If everything goes swimmingly, Digital Domain plan to develop four to five games by 2009. How they are going to keep up with the industry giants that are already churning out games isn't clear, but after creating the 60-second spot for Gears of War, they at least have one idea on how they could be successful. Like in the commercial, Digital Domain plans to create animations using video game software in real time, rather by the frame-by-frame technique. The commercial only took about half the time it normally takes to make. Best of luck to them, but how good can a game from the people who made the commerical for Gears of War be?

<![CDATA[ DS and Wii Get Transformers Lovin' ]]>

The latest issue of Nintendo Power confirms that the Transformers game based on the upcoming Michael Bay film will be coming to the Nintendo Wii. It also reveals that the DS is getting not one, but two Transformers games next year. No word on why the handheld is getting two titles, but I'm not going to complain. One of the is bound to be somewhat playable, right?

"Based on the upcoming Michael Bay flick, Transformers will let you play as either the heroic Autobots or evil Decepticons. Each 'bot will come equipped with unique weapons, moves, and transformations. Activision is planning a Wii version and two DS versions of the game."

This makes 4 Transformers console versions, with the 360 version confirmed by Activision at Botcon 06. I've not seen any definite word on a PS3 or PS2 version for that matter, but Activision isn't normally one to skip consoles when it comes to big licensed games.

I know, I know. Michael Bay is the devil. I thought so too, but looking at the newly released trailer we might be in for a surprise come July. Keeping my fingers crossed!

<![CDATA[ Transformers: The Movie: The Game Hits "Day And Date" Of Film ]]> So not the new movie posterAmid the feel good news that Hollywood and the video game industry benefit from eachother comes this little nugget of news: The Transformers video game—the one based on the upcoming Michael Bay movie, not a re-issue of the previous capable Transformers game—will hit stores the same day the movie hits theatres. For those of you keeping score, thats July 4th of 2007.

The game will be coming courtesy of Digital Domain, a production house recently purchased by Mr. Bay's Wyndcrest Holdings, LLC. They'll apparently be "sharing assets" with the film crew, so expect the game to stay true to the film from a visuals standpoint.

I'm nervously excited about the prospect of a live action Transformers flick, but this is Michael Bay we're talking about here.
