I've only played a handful of people who are better than me at Call of Duty 2, and that's with my lovely free Dell mouse I got nigh on 4 years ago. Well, if people think buying a fancy mouse with this much dpi then sure, why not, go for it. I'll still beat you.
Mind you I have retired from playing CoD2 for a while now, so I'm not as good as I used to be.
I could believe it. I'm using a cheap optical Dell, though I don't play much FPS at all so I don't need a god-mouse. Back when I played CS 1.5/1.6/Source, I got so good at it it was boring, but I just used a cheap Logitech wireless non-gaming mouse. Then, for me, a 180 degree turn is about 4 inches of travel, so I have no issues with dpi. In testing I could make the cursor skip, but in practice, it really didn't happen to me.
When I got killed it was either my own dumb fault, or the world's most wacky netcode as I empty a mag an point blank into someone while they stand there, then spontaneously teleport as I die from shots they didn't animate to shoot...
