Well, there's one of five announcements out of the way, and to be expected, it's totally underwhelming. There's nowhere to go from here but up, folks!
...sorry, I just really can't care much at all about MGO updates unless they give me a way to boot directly into it from the XMB or download it to my PS3's HDD or something. I really don't like having to take 5 minutes booting up MGS4 before I spend another 3 booting up MGO. WAY too much work for a multiplayer mode that, while fun, was nothing more than an EXTRA.
@Archaotic: What are you expecting? Did you really think Konaim was gonna have these massive announcements coming daily throughout the week? They even said that the announcements were mostly regarding game updates. I'd say this is a decent announcement.
@SocraticMethod: They stated verbatim in the PR e-mail they sent out that they've got one announcement per day of the week. This is, if anything, probably the least interesting of anything they could announce.
I'm hearing rumblings of a trophy patch (finally) and an MGS-themed Home space.
@Advent Chaos is Selling his Wii, interested? Anyone?: Well, everything you bought/unlocked in Home is stored server-side, so if you go back you should be fine, even if you deleted the application, like I did.
Don't take either of those as absolute fact though, it's just some rumors I've heard.
@Archaotic: Even if they add something really good to MGO, I'm gonna have a hard time going back to it until they do something about that friggin M4. Every match I play recently just has everyone using the M4 and assault level 3 to buttrape anyone they come across. It kills the game for me.
MGS4 was easily my favorite game of last year but I never even played MGO once. Are there still a lot of people playing? I might have to try it one of these days.
@BubbleF**kingBuddy: I was on the beta. No females in the Beta. I have, since the beta, forgotten my log-in info, so I haven't been able to play MGO since the beta ended.
@ph15h loves orange soda: Yup! Damned Konami... I have a friend who's obsessed with MGO, and I can't play with him because I don't know my login info...
@bobtheduck: MGO was fun while it lasted, then my internet started to crap out and when I started playing again there wasn't anybody... then the packs started coming out and my internet crapped out again and now I forget my KiD. I wonder if it's still active and populated with many players.
If they shut down the MGO servers, hell would have no fury like the angry Sony gamers, and the internet would explode with Xbox Live payers (and no, I did not mean 'players') typing in thousands of l's, o's and l's in a repeated unending string of comments.
Trust me. The servers aren't shutting down anytime soon.
Do you play it, F***? (Im never really sure what to call you anymore, lol). Whats the current playerbase like in terms of size.
Cause I used to play a lot of MGS3 MGO, and I remember after the first few months they chopped the number of servers down by like half due to nobody playing.
@Komrade Kayce - Soviet Ghostbuster: I play it from time to time, but I hardly ever do. Maybe once a month. I preferred the original, and I'd play this one every day if the old Sneaking Mission mode came back.

Anywho, nice looking br..bikinis. I found the game itself quite hard to get into and the matches seemed too short when I played it.

That was for MGS3, I do believe.
