Co-Op Metroidvania Anyone? |

I was thinking more that it's somewhat similar to Ico where you have to help your defenseless friend through some sort of enchanted forest or maze.

Is it me or are the non-starred comments just much more entertaining than the starred commenters. This new system always greets me with a circle jerk of agreeable and enthusiastic comments - which is starting to piss me off.

That's an awesome idea.
I was also thinking network co-op with voice chat, but give your characters radios in the game, so while you can go anywhere in the level, it would encourage sticking relatively close by making the reception worse and worse as you get farther apart... It would also be a way to tell that the game doesn't really expect you to solve team-based puzzles from opposite sides of the level/world...

For now, I just hope Shadow Complex succeeds and does well, because Mustard's putting forwards a pretty intriguing idea or two here, even beyond the fact that he's making a new Metroidvania IP, itself deserving attention!

Also when is your next notebook dump? *waits expectantly*

Co-op would be nice. But I wonder how the hidden items, areas would come into play. I mean if one of the players has more items or has that item to get to certain areas, then what will happen to the other one?
Certainly an interesting thought. Would make boss fights a lot easier I expect.

Also, how will they work item management and item/health drops? Like in RE5 wherein the gold is shared automatically?
This is certainly an interesting concept. I hope the game is up to snuff. I would get it if it was. Just to have more games like this and hopefully spawn a sequel with the co-op.
I mean it's a bit too late to implement it now unless they're already doing it...
