I'm going to play through a chunk of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and stream it live. Sorry this is so behind, but I was in Germany when the game arrived on my doorstep. Feel free to play along. That's it, sorry you missed it, but you can always check out the video in the archives.

<![CDATA[A Box Full Of Corruption]]> Today I am a man. I spent a good two years watching Crecente unbox happy things at his palatial mountaintop abode with envy in my heart, and now, thanks to convenient GC 07 scheduling, it is my turn. *opens box, takes picture* There you go! Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, a T-shirt several sizes too small for me, and a lapel pin, to symbolize...I dunno, the guy Samus took to the prom. I'll fool around with the game a bit in my very limited free time this evening, and maybe post some impressions tomorrow when you are all too busy buying the game to read them.

<![CDATA[Metroid Prime 3 Bridge Battle Video]]>
For those without a Wii, still at work or stuck on an alien planet with only Internet access, here's one of the new Metroid Prime 3: Corruption videos that's available on the Wii. Impressions: the game is super fast, and seems only made faster by the free-aiming (lock-on) that Crecente dug back at E3.

My mindset: let this be good for those of use who grew tired of Wii Sports after 10 minutes and haven't had much since.

<![CDATA[Metroid Screens]]> New screens are emerging for the now delayed Metroid Prime game. They really look stunning and quite detailed. The screens also include shots of some bosses as well as the updated silhouette of Samus in her suit. She's so cute, isn't she?

<![CDATA[E306: Wii Metroid Prime 3: Corruption]]>

The latest chapter of Metroid is a Wii title and will be utilizing the Wii Remote, as if you expected any different. We're guessing that you can imagine what game play is going to be like, but here's a brief sketch of the storyline:

The war initiated by Dark Samus and the Space Pirates rages across many planets as they attempt to corrupt each with Phazon seeds. Players use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to explore alien landscapes, hunt for weapons and information, and destroy the seeds. Saving the planets from Corruption isn't enough, though. Eventually players must take down Samus' mortal enemy' Dark Samus.

Graphics from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption after the jump. Samu's looking killer, as always, so you really should click through.

<![CDATA[Metroid Prime 3 Playable At E3]]> IGN's resident Nintendo fanboy Matt Cassamina dropped a Power Bomb of an info nugget on his official blog: Metroid Prime 3 will be playable at E3. "Fully" playable, he says. I'm not sure what that "fully" implies, except maybe that the game is so close to being complete that we'll have more than just a demo on hand or maybe just that Samus will be able to shoot stuff and turn into a ball.

Along with Matt's Metroid "bom droppen" comes this bold claim about MP3's quality:

I have full confidence in Retro to make Prime 3 one of, if not the must-have game of E3 2006. This will be the game that shows all other companies how to do first-person gameplay with the Revolution controller.

After skipping MP2 due to a "more of the same" feeling, I've gained a renewed interest in the first person shooting Metroid due to the Rev controller's capabilities. Rest assured I'll be sprinting to the Metroid Prime 3 kiosks, throwing elbows at anyone else who gets in my way during early press hours.

<![CDATA[New Metroid Prime 3 Screens Emerge?]]> Real or Photoshoppery? Hmmm...

At this year's E3, Nintendo screened ten secs of footage from upcoming Revolution title, Metroid Prime 3. Screens from that clip have been floating around the internet. Well, here are what could possibly be further puzzle pieces. Alls I know is that these "early development" images were posted on Blogspot by some dude called "The Man." Suspicious, yes. Real? You tell me.

<![CDATA[Metroid Prime 3 to Use "Innovative Revolution Controls"]]> primface.jpg

Luminoth Temple, the official Metroid website, posted an interview with Retro Studios about Metroid Prime 3. The third release in the series will hit the next-gen Revolution in 2006. The game will remain in first-person and wrap-up the epic storyline first kicked off in the original Metroid Prime. The Retro folks also said the game will take full advantage of the Revolutions new features, including "the innovative Revolution controls." Come on man, just say touchpad say it!
