Whats the Control interface?

a ps3 controller or something unique? I've always wsanted to try MGO with a keyboard and mouse or FragFX

@badSamurai: MGO actually works decent with a frag FX. the only problem I have with it is the mouse tries to approximate it's position and will shift the cursor around a bit as if confused to where it's supposed to stop once you stop moving the mouse. If the frag mouse was as accurate as the standard mouse on a PC, I would play all of my FPS and 3rd PS games with it.

No word if the latest frag fixes the mouse issues though. I know it was at e3 this year...

Oh, the things I'd do to get two of those in my basement. Heck, I'd settle for one, but -two- would be fantastic.

They don't even have to include the game, I'll throw my PS3 on there. I just want the chair.

i think that i was one of the few that loved MGO. it was so unlike any other online tactical game, and retained everything that made it metal gear.

i know that this is blasphemous, but i would love to see it come to xbox live arcade, bypassing the konami id. then it'd be perfect (for me).

@plebeianprint: get back in line dude, I have people on my friend's list that still plays MGO to this day, myself included. I took a break from infamous to play MGO earlier this week. awesome games with guys using team tactics to flank the each other, flash bangs to blind the overly aggressive, snipers (M14EBR with a silencer FTW) Shotgun whores... awesome.

I agree 100% about how it takes what makes the MGS campaigns unique and incorporates it into the online portion. So if you know how to play MGS4, you can jump right into MGO with a minimal learning curve if any at all.

bringing shooters to arcades would have been a good idea a long time ago.. especially third person shooters. i really think that arcades would have ridden through the 2000s just fine in america if midway, the largest american arcade company at the time had gotten the rights to unreal or quake to make in arcades. we could have co-op shooters, multi player shooters, third person..

i really dont know why devs never progressed on the arcade side, even games like devil may cry and dynasty warriors could have made for decent arcades if they used smaller portions.

Game was great on PS2 with MGS3:Substanince, but just lost something for me on PS3.

Playing COD4 makes this game look much slower by comparison.

@Syftx2: you're absoluely correct about it being slower than COD, but it's supposed to be. it's not a twicthy shooter. this game is all about decisions.

i think that one of the reasons it is so under-appreciated is that much of the crowd that an online military game appeals to want faster gameplay.

@Syftx2: ok, So I guess it's okay to compare Mario Kart to Gran Turismo or Sims Kart Racing to Forza.

Or maybe we can all diss Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles because it doesn't play like WoW...

If MGO is to be compared to anything this gen on PS3 it would be Socom. I like Socom but I don't like the leaning/shooting from cover mechanic and the bugs were a disgrace. I like MGO but I didn't care for the hacks and glitches in that either. Both need m/kb support or at least a splitfish that works as advertised.

But for what it's worth, once you level up your character in MGO and play with skilled teammates, it's a blast to play. LVL 3 Snipers and Bare Hand CQC masters are lethal in that game. Good times, Good times...

I think that's why I like it. In MGO Strategy>Skill. That doesn't mean skill's not important, just that Strategy and planning will win the game.
