@NeVeRMoRe666:
But why should I have to do that for every article? I wouldn't mind if the damn thing would remember to show comments all the time instead of me having to click it for every article.
@Fadecy: Rival Schools for PSN/XBLA PLZ: I imagine this is causing an influx of "first" comments, but then again, I don't know because they would all be buried. I guess that's a nice silver lining to the new comment system.
@Fadecy: Rival Schools for PSN/XBLA PLZ: the only thing i don't dig so far is that if I see the story on the Kotaku main page and yours is the top comment, i used to be able to click on that comment and it would take me right to the discussion and all the replies to you. now when i click on it, it just takes me here to everything and then i have to search for it. FIX!!!

@NeVeRMoRe666, [ZTF]NSF Operative: You can click the button to show all comments but that's entirely besides the point... why should you have to? Why are comments buried by default? I just really don't see the logic behind it. I would much rather see something more akin to youtube or digg's system.
@Đipic: Because as you can see from the Youtube comment sections, it works really great.
@Fadecy: Rival Schools for PSN/XBLA PLZ: Personally, I'm beginning to like the new system. It should help to encourage much more thoughtful and relevant discussions and it's certainly nice to be able to avoid seeing a bunch of trollish comments.
@Fadecy: Rival Schools for PSN/XBLA PLZ: There should be an option in the profile to let you show them all by default. Maybe they'll add it eventually. I would also like Gamertag/PSN/Steam account linkup similar to the work they did on Giantbomb, or even majornelson.com

And since we're talking comment sections here, I think N4Gs is the stuff. I love the agree/ disagree feature and the bubbles. It's privy to fanboys but everything is, really.
@njd09: We're being oppressed. Rise up comrades! Rise up and join the revolution!
Naturally, I volunteer myself to be the rearguard in our valiant charge. It's a small sacrifice, but I one I make gladly.
@-MasterDex-: And yet Digg has virtually the same system and it works quite well for them. What keeps it from being successful on youtube is the community.
The biggest problem I have with this system is that it revolves around the idea of star commenters, yet the process of handing out stars is dubious at best. It seems that just any sarcastic douche is able to obtain one these days.
@Skyline7284:I agree, if they did that I'd have no real problem. It just seems like they're punishing people that have already proven themselves to be commendable commenters.

Just a reminder that if you buy any of the 3 games in the above URL, you're wasting money.
