    Go to hell EA mercs one was good then mercs 2 went to crap and the only change was the publisher.

    Now they gut pandemic and decide to continue making there game.

    At what point will people realize they should never ever partner with EA?

    @Vecha: Mercs 1 was enjoyable, mercs 2 not so much. And no, Mercs 2 didn't sell well at all. I think they sold somewhere in the 200,000's and the break even number on that game was 700,000 copies from what I heard. #speakup

    This is slightly harsh in my view, EA shuts them down and then takes their games which EA will then develop. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

    What do we all think about this?

    @Phaper: I more see it as EA shutting them down, as they weren't happy with the quality of previous games, and developing the games (Which EA owns, I think) in house.

    @aka Bitter: I'm thinking the same thing: Mercs Inc. is to the Mercenaries Series as Battlefield Heroes is to the Battelfield Series.

    @Beardbeardly: True.

    However, BF Heroes is relatively tame in its visual presentation. There are no huge explosions nor many (or any?) interactive environmental elements.

    I think the pitch trailer for this game demonstrates a visual package that is possibly beyond what the average PC could handle in a multiplayer environment.

    @ttocs: No? It's not easy to love the game, especially if mindless enemy skull cracking games aren't for you.

    It doesn't hold your attention for long and the price tag doesn't help it's case. If they could lowered this new one to maybe $30 maybe 40 bucks, I'd considered it just cause I'm a fan.

    Any higher in price and the majority of gamers won't choose this over the quality of video games out there.

    @Yossarian: It's sort of a code you must input on your arm to unlock.

    Skull Trick.

    1. Find Street Fighter code on website.
    2. Make sure your arm is tattoo free.
    3. Search for a local illegal tattoo parlor.
    4. Make sure you and the one giving you the tattoo are drunk.
    5. Give him your arm and make sure he's so f**cked up the code ends up backwards.
    6. Skullz Unlocked.

    This looks like it could be some real fun as it seems Mercenaries is tailor made for multiplayer.
    But at the same time I'm sort of scared to see how airstrikes could be abused.
