BTW: What is the liklihood that this DLC could be removed in short time when Palin or Obama (or both) decide that while they aren't selling it...it's still considered marketing using their likeness.
How is this good. Its 4 missions thats it. And they arent put into the main world, they are random ones. Also u cant keep the new vehicles or character skins unless ur actually playing the DLC mode.
I other words, the sun will be coming up tomorrow.
Not really anything new though concerning EA. Not that I'm faulting them for this. Videogame publishers/developers are the same with any business, they are out to make money.
If a franchise is successful or looks to be it (ie: Mirror's Edge and Dead Space) then it's perfectly logical to make a new one.
I'm quite relieved he reiterated that this will not be an annual thing they're doing. At least we can give them the benefit of the doubt concerning minor upgrades, rehashes and so on. Maybe this will even give them more push to create new IPs from their own studios instead of buying everyone out.
To paraphrase Saw 2's ad campaign: "Oh yes, there will be Mercs."
But really, why does every half-decent game need to be franchised? (not including cult favorites, which usually end woefully with a single installment or two...)
I'm all for sequels, but only if there's a reason for their existence besides "it prints MONEH!".

And I doubt either agreed to this.

It's pretty much the same as when Huckabee tried to cash in on Chuck Norris. WAY past due...

Or maybe Palin needs to fly a gunship and shoot up some wolves and Chinese. Eh, it's all good, right?

As gamers, it's our duty to respond to free DLC with "it sucks". Any free DLC.
Accordingly, if DLC is fee-based our response must be unwaveringly "shoulda been included with the game in the first place".
As long we stick to the above rules, game companies will finally appreciate us for what we are.

As well as the plethora of Burnout Paradise content.
This isn't as bad as if it were charged, but the only reason they aren't charging for it is because it's way past prime.

To say it isn't ground breaking would be a compliment to it.
