Last fall, Kotaku reported that Rockman Online (aka Mega Man Online) seemed like it was dead. Today, we learned that the PC game has, indeed, been canned.

South Korea's NeoWiz has been working on a MMORPG version of Mega Man, dubbed Rockman Online (Mega Man Online). However, corporate restructuring earlier this year appears to have impacted development. The first two official trailers for Mega Man Online, the sidescrolling MMO, were both two minutes of nothing but cinematics. Here's more than twice that amount, all of it gameplay.

Why? Because all it makes us want is a Mega Man movie, not some side-scrolling online game.

And here we were thinking Mega Man Online, the Korean MMO being worked on by Capcom and Neowiz, would be a pedestrian affair. Seems the pair have something a little more epic in mind.
