    This game's units look like they were drawn by Dr. Suess on LSD. That and the choice of Toejam & Earl colors really put me off from playing it for too long. Good attempt, but it's no comparison to AW in my opinion. #mechowars

    I really wanted to like Mecho Wars, given I enjoy the Advance Wars titles, but the art and storyline/dialog are really, really off-putting. Still for $0.99, I'm not out much. #mechowars

    Luc Bernard is hardly a game designer. Heck, when Eternity's Child flopped badly, he was incredibly quick to blame all the fault on the designers, and then said "My part was the art, and that is really good, so I did my job!"

    Heck, the one game "designer" I've ever seen who's more unbearable than Jeff Minter, probably. #steampirates

    I deleted this game after only playing a couple of levels. The gameplay was wonderful in that it was almost an exact ripoff of Advance Wars. Where it failed me was the 5-year old art style of the characters. It felt like a bastardized Dr. Seuss book.

    So, going to re-review now it has fixed some of the issues? Out of interest, (and assuming you're not going to re-review) how much do the changes better the game? Does it entirely eliminate the previous cons, somewhat ease your previous troubles, or not do anything really to solve your grievances? Damn, I'm going to have to get an iPhone (or Touch) some time at this rate, but I just can't afford it.... with all my buying of Gundam kits, Revoltech Figures and Figma Figures... And Transformers... And video games on other platforms.

    I will definitely be getting this game. Also does the SE game released for the iPod work on the iPhone as well? I remember they released a game that used your music library to create characters.

    This is actually pretty cool. As much as some people seem to bash iPhone games for being short cheap shite, you really wouldn't get that sort of support for a larger console game from a big publisher.

    I'm guessing everything after "New maps and a new campaign for free? All they need to do now is add online mulitplayer support and Mecho Wars is going to be a must have for the platform." is not supposed to be there.
