    When so many game companies are folding under the weight of our current economy, it is nice to see a new studio forming from the wreckage. I hope they succeed, but entering the MMO market is a bad idea. It is still way too crowded.

    I can't believe I read this information on a business new provider first.


    Kotaky, I depend on you to provide me with this information first. I can't spend time scouring the INTERNETZ for this stuff. Luckily my work provided me with this information.


    Anyway, I hope this is good for everyone since since on the same article I read this on it said that Verizon was raising their DSL speeds to over 7mbps in 21 states. I guess that's good news for DSL users.

    The man makes a point about the Mario movie. I remember seeing it as a kid and thinking "WTF?!". It was this wierd steampunk sci-fi fx extravaganza that didn't really fit into the Mario universe at all. The only character that actually looked like it was from the games apart from Mario was Yoshi and even he looked waaaay to vicious to be called Yoshi.

    Wahlberg robbed a pharmacy while he was under the influence of PCP. During the commission of the crime, he again used racial epithets. He knocked one middle aged Vietnamese man unconscious and permanently blinded another in one eye before he was arrested by the police. Yet he always plays a cop.

    This is nice! One of the best things about it is the Noir style narrative they used.


    I'm positive some people will find the game dated. Especially now that "bullet-time" has been overused to a point that it's used in commercials even.


    Max Payne was awesome then. Hopefully the gameplay lives up. Just not that "dream/nightmare sequence". God I hated that part!

    apart from being able to play the games from the HDD,i think i may pass,1200 each i think would be a little high,perhaps a double package deal?


    and the two games ARE coming to the originals line up,if there was any doubt(the Kotaku headline has a question mark)...it was mentioned on todays sentUAMessage stream from the UK 360 dashboard

    I never understand why people buy Xbox Originals instead of just buying the game used. I do understand developers getting a cut, but when you can find the Max Payne games on the PS2 and Xbox for a dollar used, wouldn't it make more sense to just pay the buck, send another dollar to the developers and put the $10.00 you saved yourself toward buying a new game that would help out the developers?

    @Sloopydrew: Depends on where you're at, bub. If you're in the supa-dupa-fun-happy-happy playland that is Portugal, like me, you'd recognize how hard it is to find decent used games over here. I suspect this is the same in many other countries around the world.

    @SPECIALciaNAPKIN: I don't think you understand what sarcasm means. Sarcasm is saying the opposite of what you mean as a form of mockery.


    If someone says, "Max Payne is a great game" and you say, "Yeah, sure, it's so great that nobody even cares about it" then that is sarcasm.


    If someone says "I wish I had a car" and you say "Oh, that's weird, I have a Lamborghini" that is not sarcasm. It's just being a tool.

    Bullet-time never felt natural with a controller. This should be played on the PC for the most enjoyment. This coming from a console gamer.
