    She...looks nothing like her...at all, not in the slightest. I mean she's very pretty and stuff, I'd still take her out to a show and a nice meal at Red Lobster.

    Looking at other contestants, I can safely say Maxim's voters where not going for the best Bayonetta impersonation.

    Most popular chick, hottest, or whatever. But defnitely not the closest to the character.

    She definitely has the face, but I don't see any cosplaying there.

    In fact, the only reason why I know Andrea was picked for a Bayonetta content is by reading the news.

    Other than that, I can't tell her from a generic chick posing as heroine.

    Wrong clothing, wrong hair, wrong weapons... etc etc

    At least Sidney and Ashley should have more votes.

    Again, nothing against Andrea, but it's pretty clear something is wrong here.

    Really Maxim, the "goth" look? Bayonetta is many things, but just because she wears black and leather doesn't instantly make her goth. Jeezus.

    I can see why they used that description, but it does make it any less incorrect.

    Looking over the entrants for research purposes, I'd say Sidney should have won by a landslide. She actually did the costume, is attractive, and did a great pose for her entry photo. I'm stunned Dominique didn't win a Maxim contest for simply showing more of her breasts, but the wrong person won just the same.

    @Kobun: yeah. pretty dumb that the winner didn't even dress like her. my guess is that Dominique would have been too obvious of a "we just picked you because you showed some skin" choice. but I guess having even some attenuated logic is asking too much out of an online poll.

    @Lissar: Vote results do show Sidney was a strong second place. In fact, the contest was basically between her and the winner:

    I just don't understand how in the world did Andrea muster so many votes. She's not showing the most nor stands out in any particular way. I'm thinking this could either have been fixed to an extent or she unleashed some massive campaign urging MySpace friends and so forth to vote for her.
