Title]]> Whether joking or serious, Capcom-Unity's asked for input on what its next Vs. game should be, and that sets everyone to wondering if one really is in the works. They're offering a meager bounty for the best-reasoned suggestion.

Winner gets "precisely 12% of the swag in Seth's "random Capcom swag" box. You can supply yours at Capcom-Unity. But it's kind of pointless because I've already thought of the winner: Stephen J. Cannell vs. Capcom. You need a franchise with a huge stable of classic action heroes, right? With this you get all four members of the A-Team; The Greatest American Hero; Ken Wahl in Wiseguy; Jim Rockford from The Rockford Files; Fred Dryer in Hunter; Johnny Depp in his 21 Jump Street Days, plus Hardcastle ... and McCormick.

Bam, it's like printing money. I can't believe I'm still here pitching this to you and you're not already working on it, Capcom. Get moving, we can talk about my residuals later.

<![CDATA[Why There's No Marvel vs Capcom 2 On Wii]]> While both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will be seeing a re-release of Capcom's classic 2D fighter Marvel vs Capcom 2, Wii owners won't be seeing anything of the sort.

While this may have been obvious from the fact the game's release announcement failed to mention Nintendo's console, for anyone who hadn't quite caught on, Capcom's Christian Svensson has spelled it out, explaining that, because the company "don't actually have any retail rights on this project", it can only be offered as a downloadable title.

While this is no problem for the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live Arcade, "there's no way to get anywhere near the Wiiware filesize limit here". Despite the Wii hardware itself being more than capable of handling an old Dreamcast port. So it's not happening, and it doesn't look like it'll ever happen.

Sorry.

<![CDATA[Marvel vs Capcom 2, Old Graphics vs New Graphics]]> While Marvel vs Capcom may not be as comprehensive a re-release as the recent SSFIIHD - it's more of a straight-up port - it's still getting a few graphical improvements.

You'll be given the option of playing the game in three graphics modes: Classic, Smooth & Crisp. Classic is as you'd expect, the original Dreamcast pixels. Smooth throws in 2x bilinear filtering, while crisp goes one better and goes for 3x bilinear filtering.

You can see a quick comparison up above, or for some full-size screens, hit the gallery below.

So now I can talk about the game....IT'S MAHVEL BABY! [Capcom]

<![CDATA[Marvel vs. Capcom 3 OTW?]]> IGN heavily qualifies what it heard at Comic-Con '08, and it isn't confirmation. But any idiot can look at Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, especially the fact it's getting positive response, and figure that Marvel and Capcom have some kind of response.

Anyway, IGN reports that at Comic-Con, Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President of Production (wotta title), was asked if a new Marvel vs. Capcom game was possible someday. His reply: "Yes. And maybe sooner than you think."

IGN goes on to say that a Capcom under-production title, probably for Japan release only, could provide the guts for the game, allowing it to be turned around in a relatively short time.
