No deal. Where's the online component? Where's the option to compare my scores with my friends? Where's the custom soundtrack support?
Q Entertainment blows. Totally overrated. They release Lumines SN and it's good but still lacking standard features. What the hell? Is this some inside joke that gamers don't get? They release Lumines on 360 and charge for multi play? They release Meteos: Disney Barf edition on DS and STILL wouldn't support Wifi...
Retarded. Lumines SN may be the last Q game I buy.
@poduski: Probably not. There isn't enough new content to justify another Live release of Lumines. However, Q Entertainment has shown a lot of support for Xbox Live in the past (Lumines, Every Extend Extra, Meteos) so there's a chance that it COULD happen in some shape or form.
@poduski: if it doesnt sell on the playstation network (which it will) then there might be a chance. but them PSN users love them sum Downloadable games. (Flower FTW!)
@excaliburps: I only got Lumines 2 and I really liked it. In fact, several of the songs in it I had not heard before. I still want to get a copy of the single version of Bottle Rocket, for instance.
I'm enjoying the PS3 version, though. It's nice to have something flashy I can play on my HD tv, and I have a good sound system in the living room. I think it's worth noting that while the basic game is only $15, you can get for FREE another pack of skins that are holiday themed -- and not just Christmas either. That adds a lot of extra skins to play.
loved the game, but for the love of god, they shouldve put a burn in protection on the game, my tv (plasma) is now fucked because of my sister played 5 hours straight with her husband, I only hope that the break-in dvd will help it get better
I don't know if you've done this already, but if your TV is in an exhibition or demo mode, you should turn it back to normal display as it will shorten the life of the screen.
Can you save your progress and resume from the level you made it to?
If they ever do that in Lumines, I'll buy it. If not, I'll never buy another. I'm so sick of hearing the first half dozen tracks I just don't play anymore...
Lumines is awesome but not only is it not online, you can't compare you scores with your friends on the Leaderboards. What's up with that?
I understand also that the soundtrack is a big part of the game but I really would liked to have custom soundtracks. Let's be real, Lumines isn't exactly the easiest game in the world. We couldn't get a platinum trophy for that? Wipeout HD is a ballbreaker too but that has a platinum...
anyways, I hate Q and I don't like Mizuguchi but Lumines SuperNova over all is worth the price of admission
literally 45 seconds after playing this game, i realized i had already bought the 360 version a long time ago, and instantly felt like an idiot. The only reason i came to this conclusion was that i was thinking "where the hell is the online multiplayer?" at the same time, i felt even more stupid for thinking that you could use music you already have and create the game, as opposed to creating your own music for the game.

There's a nice handful of skins not found in any of the 360 add-on packs, and it sounds like the music for many of identical skins has been remastered. As with the 360 version, I'll happily purchase all add-on packs for this one.

The second one was a bit too "Western" for me...Music videos looping on the background and Gwen Stefani? The music of 1 was better in my opinion...

Not to mention the D-Pad is a HUGE upgrade over the 360 version, and the much closer feel to the PSP one.
