"the ladies may not find Uncharted 2 as exciting as you"
I'm sorry, I'm almost offended by that. Not all ladies prefer cute over substance.
In fact, as these days I get to play less myself because I'm always holding the baby, I find nothing better than watching my husband play games like Uncharted 2 and Dragon Age.
Even when I used to live at home and play games on the family TV my parents would love watching me play games with story.
Of course, this can be dangerous if they won't let you play without them around, for fear of missing something. #eyepet
I was hoping for it to succeed, but one of the folks expecting it to fail.
I was one of the people who bought Eye of Judgment, and the game struggled to even read the cards correctly on a set placemat. Expecting it to react realistically would have been absurd.
Of course, I don't expect any better from Natal, as it still suffers from that "real world" problem. #eyepet
@Ad-hominem: Then again, I remember a lot of people being wary of the Wii and its technology when it was first announced.
I know, I know, they're entirely different projects in terms of scope and depth, but there's still room to be pleasantly surprised.
That said, emotiv's headset dealy has been described by various sources I generally trust as either good or bad, so the jury's still out on that one.
I don't think non-traditional gaming is a necessity yet, but pushing the boundaries past the virtual-reality shooter of 1995 county fairs is a welcome change. #eyepet
@Laute: Using the Wii as a comparison isn't a particularly good idea, when you realize that there are still people complaining about poor responsiveness with Wii controls. #eyepet
@prototyped: I don't find it cute, but then I'm hardly a monkey fan. It's got a kind of ugly Furby look about it which seems as if it were designed with the intention of being cute but failing miserably. Still, at least I wouldn't look like a pedophile playing with the thing. #eyepet
@prototyped: absolutely bro... I was just gonna write: "is it just me or does this thing look weirdly humanlike and creepy" until I saw your post. I would rather this thing had a more animal like facial appearance... then maybe it wouldn be so creapy. #eyepet
@PoweredByHentai: What about it? It's for people that like to stay in touch that know each other really well and have a reason to want to see each other. None of that applies to me at all. #eyepet
@MrBionic: Well, if you don't have anyone to keep tabs on from time to time, then yeah, I can see how the EyeToy isn't going to be all that useful to you. I guess you'll have to wait until the Sphere comes out so that you can grief your LBP buddies. #eyepet
@PoweredByHentai: Yah, I pretty much only got it because it was on sale and I wanted to make rude gestures at people in Burnout: Paradise, but that got old really fast, and I meant to get LBP at the time, so I could import textures and stuff, but never did end up getting LBP. I should really do that. #eyepet
This is ridiculous and I don't believe it. A month ago, I saw a reviewer play the entire first 2 hours of EyePet on Viddler with his daughter just fine without ever having any "issues", I think you're just doing it wrong.
@jjohns17006: Completed all challenges, spent considerable time in "sandbox" mode. Game played at all times of day in several lighting conditions.#eyepet

But make him hold the baby sometimes (bonding with daddy!) and you pick up a controller. #eyepet
