Something that may change with the addition of game trailers to the service.

The new "PlayStation Network Game Trailers Channel" (catchy!) has recently gone live, and allows you to both stream a whole bunch of clips for PS3 games, and if applicable, buy the game itself from the PlayStation Store as well.

At the moment it's only available for those with a US account. Like, people with a real one, in the US; I couldn't access the channel using my American account in Australia.

<![CDATA[Mega64 Takes Elite Beat Agents To The Streets]]> The guys at Mega 64 are up to their old tricks again, this confusing the non-gaming public with a live-action performance of hit Nintendo DS rhythm game Elite Beat Agents.

Sometimes I have a hard time figuring out if Mega64' series of live-action video game performances is a work of genius or a work of madness. All I can think as I watch this latest clip is how utterly embarrassed I would be to be out there in public, dancing along to a rhythm game that's only playing in my head. I suppose that's why the Mega64 squad does this sort of thing...so I don't have to.

In the end, I think I had more fun trying to make out the words to Josh Jones original song, which is just enough of Steriogram's "Walkie-Talkie Man" to be recognizable, while still remaining utter nonsense. Hit up the link below to download the song as an MP3!

<![CDATA[PS3 Life Will Be Free, Whenever It's Released]]> Sony's Life project for the PS3 is set to revolutionise the "get your news from a spinning globe on a console" market. And it was meant to do it this month, too. Now, it won't be, Sony announcing that due to some paperwork issues (ie some wrangling over rights with news agencies) it won't be launching in August. Instead, they're asking we all "hold tight just a bit longer", and are attempting to stem our rising fury at the delays by letting us know the service will be free, it'll launch directly from the XMB and can even work in conjunction with Folding@Home.

<![CDATA[Introducing "Life with PlayStation"]]> Today, Sony Computer Entertainment exec Kaz Hirai announced "Life with PlayStation" for the PS3. During the presentation, the "Life" was demoed for the audience for the first time — the service shows the Earth, and users can access current news and weather for locations around the world. It's possible to even pull up the full article from the headline. Users can also set background music while looking at the Earth, checking the weather and the world news. Click through pics below to see it in action.
