Consider if there's a level designer in this game like Indy 2 has. What if the designer could unlock special bricks if you owned other lego games, letting you do a mash-up?
Kinda like downloadable content for LBP, but encouraging buying a whole other Lego game instead of a $5 brick pack. or like how the new Ratchet+Clank triggers off pre-existing save files for an in-game bonus.

All of the previous TT LEGO games have used non-LEGO scenery, at least for the PC/console versions. The GBA versions of LSW1 and LSW2 _might_ have gone all-brick, but I can't remember for sure.

They should just make the lego-puppets float a bit less when they walk, 'cause when they make one step, they cover the distance of 2 right know. Or: The contact with the floor is really little.
Probably going to be a gift for my GF next year, co-op galore! :D

a) All prior Lego games are based upon a movie series and a series of Lego bricks.
b) I doubt there'd be much market for current kids to buy Lego FF8.
c) Lego God of War isn't exactly going to be rated E without pissing off every GoW fan.

While I love the sources that they are based on, I cant bring myself to purchase a copy of any iteration. I did try out LEGO SW 1 and it was fun for about one level before I put the controller down and switched it to something else.
I havent experienced any of the cute humor that these games have from my very limited time with the game.
That said, I would like to give these games another go if and only if they make a compilation of all these LEGO games into one and charge less than $70 for it (including all past and future adventure titles for this gen; excluding LEGO RB of course).

Assume 5-6 levels per movie. Assume roughly one hour per movie if you're doing time-trials, or about triple that (in Story Mode), if you're actually bothering to break every destructable, collect every stud, and explore every corner. Assume several times that if you go for 100% Complete, including replaying every level in Freeplay mode. And assume you won't get a lot of sympathy from those of us who _do_ enjoy the games if you're only concerned about how long it will take you to once-through the game.

However, I have made it a goal of mine to place a lot of time in between each game. In addition, I plan on never diving into the Lego Indy games due to a lack of attachment to the film series.
The end result is that the Lego games become a guilty pleasure of mine that I can indulge in every once in a great while.
