This makes me happy. I don't have a PS3, but this is another sign that the Ghostbusters craze may hit full force again. And we all know what that means... a new generation addicted to Ecto-Cooler!
@eastx: @deanbmmv: Wait sorry, Im not complaining about DLC but im complaining about software updates such as version 1.15 that is a huge 35mbs for a single game update.
@fanboyps3: No, seriously. For some reason there's a part of me that's like "Ghostbusters DLC? Didn't I already hear about this?" and another part of me that's like "No, of course not, stupid."
@JB4GDI: I know who would have tought they would have Michael Schumacher in the vid... some say he is the stay puffed marshmellow man, and that Goza is scared of him, all we know is hes called the stig.....
@someone_else: Some say he invented the Konami code, and that he only knows two facts about Mario and both of them are wrong, all we know is, hes called the Stig..
@DugDawg: It is only a problem if you've downloaded LOTS of community content. The LBP profiles are a fixed size -- everything you pick up is added to your profile. If your profile becomes "full" you receive a message that the game cannot save your progress further until you go to your "My Moon," open the level editor, open your PopIt toolbag, then start removing some of the content you picked up from community levels to make room in your profile. Don't worry, if you need to do this, you cannot inadvertently delete things that are part of the core game.
If you have not played *hundreds* of levels online, then this won't even apply to you, you will not even be affected.
It would appear Mm didn't have the foresight to bump up the profiles sizes as they've been releasing their own DLC, so adding the MGS level pack (hundreds of new decorations, constructs, stickers) fills your profile up pretty quickly.
This is only a problem if you've previously collected HUNDREDS of other trinkets from other creators through online levels. If you haven't you won't have a problem.
Also, LBP doesn't just start randomly deleting saved data as the article implies. It just stops saving your progress to the HDD. The result is that your game save/progress will be "frozen" at the point where the profile became full until you've deleted some of the community content. When you play, you'll pick up things as normal, unlock new areas, and so forth, but that progress won't be written to disk when you shut off. You'll know if it's started happening, because you will not see the 'running sackboy' image in the lower left hand corner of the screen, which is what indicates HDD access. That'll instead just blink quickly and go away.
Hence the misinterpretation that LBP is "deleting" peoples progress. It's not deleting anything, it's just not recording what was done on the previous playthrough at that point in which your profile became full.
@Dryden: Good info, thanks. I have downloaded a lot of costumes, etc., but I don't think I've downloaded enough content to cause a problem. At least I hope not, but thanks to your post, at least now I know what to do to fix it, if need be.

@CmdrBladeHearts: I think this use of the word "meme" is an abuse, to be honest. A meme should not be synonymous with a fad, it's something people are supposed to pass on to their DESCENDANTS not to their PEERS...
