I know I'm old but there are people out here in the world that like this stuff? I mean you can't like get a girl or a wife or something other than this? I'll say it, if your older that 15 and find this cool or sexy just stop, get some help and find you a real person. Your really missing something in your life. Or your also really into the Furries scene which please find some help.

@bigd7387: It's nothing to do with that; honestly I collect figures and I see them as art, and to me that's what they are.

Not all of my figs are stuff like this, only some - but the quality and the craftsmanship is what I appreciate, in addition to the aesthetics.

I also have a current girlfriend, have had many, am not a virgin, and am quite older than 15.

A decade older, in fact.

I have an awesome career in the games industry (which is on hold due to the sorry state of the economy, I'm in business right now but it's not the long-term plan), a working car, and a solid sense of distinction between fantasy and reality.

Don't go making blanket statements about groups you don't understand. If you don't like them, don't buy them - but don't jump the shark to judge those of us who do

You know, every time I see sexy figurines on kotaku, I think, 'How much is it?' and then I find out that figurine collecting is really expensive, and also I become self-conscious about just how creepy it would be to have Kasumi posed like that on my desk. D:

Now if it were Master Chief posing by the poolside like that, bikini slung low around his armor... oh man, money would be no object! XD

Damnit, after buying one of these damned things (which are bloody expensive) I promised myself I would not buy another one ever, as they look so pretty and bou-sof-roun-delicio-nice! But you can't do anything with them. But for some reason I really like Kasumi... But no, no no non no no nein! I don't care how much I love Kasumi, I'm not going to buy another of these extremely overpriced things!

@Cptn.PaxtonAstypalaea(Corsair): 100 bucks is premium price. I've only ever spent that much on two figures, and I was very pleased with how they turned out. If the actual retail figure looks as good as this, then I may just buy another DOA statue (the other one being the Kokoro figure in the same line).
