@Witzbold: Don't get me wrong, 20% of Fuck All is still Fuck All/5.
But, 1.2 million troops, the fifth largest army in the world, is not to be sniffed at. Especially when 0% of that army is out and about working with the UN and NATO or fighting various peace keeping missions accross the globe.
In terms of consolidated, non-deployed armed forces, ready to be sent to another country en masse I think NK would be a couple of places higher than their actual standing army.
Not saying that they could invade, or that they would. Let's face it, 1.2 million troops aren't gonna do much good standing in NK, waving their fists at capitalists. Unless they have a lot of planes with a lot of carrying capacity they're not going to be invading anywhere anytime soon. All I'm saying is that just because you're a little country doesn't mean you can't...colonise...far away places.
@ThursdayNext: 1.2 million soldiers is just quantity, not quality. the only thing i could POSSIBLY see is if NK teamed up with the aliens from crysis and got their technology.
but that shit is so bananas, donkey kong makes an appearance.

Military spending is estimated at as much as a quarter of GNP, with up to 20% of men ages 17-54 in the regular armed forces.
