When The Best Part of The Beach Is The Arcade

I still need to get Batman Returns for the SNES. I always love Beat 'Em Ups, and few did 'em better than Konami.
Konami sure was a powerhouse for awesome licensed beat 'em ups, weren't they? Batman Returns, TMNT series, Simpsons, Asterix, Bucky O'Hare, AND 6-Player X-Men.
That's quite a resume. Why aren't movie licensees trying to sign Konami anymore? Do they want their games to suck?

Jess, your passing may be one big troll, but in my heart you will always be passed away prematurely after an accident on New Zeeland.

Jeff Goldblum is alive, to anyone who is running to google right now.

Damn you ShadowOdin (is he an elephant?)

All I know is that Jeff Goldblum has the musky sensuality of a pride of baboons.

His death was reported on Twitter a while ago (falsely, obviously) and he did a bit about it on the Colbert Report that was pretty sweet where he eulogized himself.

@singing pigs in elevators: That's my special little nickname for him ^^;;

Comment of the day, minus the typo. He was on Conan the other day -- must've been a rerun. I'm not afraid to admit I cried a little.

The first was the overall better package, but the action in Revenge made it worth the price of admission alone. Sure the story made no sense (as did some of the characters,) but it was funny and seeing the Transformers is truly the only reason to watch them in the first place.
Maybe it's because I'm a Transformers fan (from since I was a kid in the 80s,) that I'm able to enjoy them, or it's more likely that I don't go into movies expecting novel quality plots or characters. I think it's a bit of both.

Im glad to see that I wasnt the only one who preferred the Sega version. That part where youre running through the facility and the Trex's head popping out of the wall is still fresh in my mind.
Also, what about the Gameboy version of the game? Wasnt the first boss a triceratops and you had to hide under it in conveniently placed holes when it charged and you chucked 'nades to kill it? I still remember the main tune to the game. In fact I'm humming it to myself right now.

That's 4 games. What are the other 2?

I remember my child brain being unable to fathom how to defeat the final boss (when playing as the raptor) with his damn electric gun. I kamikaze'd myself into it for hours, without ever figuring out I could just move the pillar the bastard was standing on, crushing him, or something. I only learned that much later.
My fully functioning adult brain would never be as contained and inward thinking as that foolish child brain. (This is probably not true)

Second this. I had the Gameboy version (pretty similar to the SNES version in most respects) of Jurassic Park and the Genesis version (both the original and the "Rampage Edition")... playing as grant sucked unless you used a cheat code, but playing as the raptor? C'mon, that's full of win.

Yeah, I don't see how you can compare it to the SNES version, but I'm not knocking the SNES version. I had loads of fun with it's Half-Zelda, Half-Doom design.
It's just - they are two completely different types of games. Some like platforming more the adventures games and FPSs. It's just a fact of life.

Please lord, let me know who I have to take out in order for it to happen.

Lion king was fun too, I may have been in 4th 5th grade?
07/15/09
Not back then, they didn't.
The 16-bit Aladdin and Lion King games were legitimately good, and so was Mickey Mania. Before that , Capcom's NES games based off Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, and Talespin were some of the best third party games the NES saw. That's without mentioning Darkwing Duck, which was essentially a Mega Man game.

Now, it's hard to imagine a Disney game turning out to be an entertaining platformer.
Blame it on the move to 3D?
