Stewart had been ragging on Crammer, who talks finance on his CNBC show Mad Money, for spewing nonsense and being totally wrong about the economic meltdown. The edited episode can be viewed on The Daily Show's website.

On the US Xbox LIVE Marketplace, the full unedited interview between Stewart and Cramer (f-bombs and all!) is available for download. It's free for LIVE Gold members. Details on how to download in the link below.

<![CDATA[Daily Show Gets Inside Liberty City, Rails Against Peach Prices]]>
Of course, Jon Stewart wasn't going to let the launch of GTA IV go by without his $0.02 worth. Here's a couple of clips from this week's show, one showing the chaos and violence that mired the game's launch, the second (after the jump) trying (note: trying) to put the game's violence into perspective.

Jon Stewart finally waded into the media morass covering the VA Tech shooting, mocking the politicizing of the tragedy and the scapegoating. He gets into video games about 4 minutes and 15 seconds in.

Unfortunately, Bill doesn't wax much on video gaming, but Jon Stewart cracks enough jokes about internet porn and guessing Gates' log in and password to keep us interested.

<![CDATA[Insane Jackass Objects to Being Pwnt on Daily Show]]>

GamePolitics reports that Representative Joe Pitts, the insane jackass featured in this Daily Show episode, is butt-hurt over being so skewered:

I regret that Comedy Central's 'Daily Show' portrayed my words the way they did. I believe that gratuitously violent video games are inappropriate for all children. However hard it may be to prove their effect in any given instance, tragedies like the killings at Columbine High School and more recent events closer to home clearly show that children from every neighborhood and income level can and do get into trouble - sometimes quite seriously.

GP points out correctly that Pitts' comments were not edited, misquoted, or taken out of context. Stewart simply "let the tape roll" and Pitts dug himself a tidy little grave. I'm just glad the uproar made it back to Pitts. I like it when they pay attention. Lets us know we're getting to them...

<![CDATA[Jon Stewart and The Rock Have Sexy Doom Jaw Session]]>

Look, we know many of you hate the YouTourette's Syndrome which occasionally leaves Kotaku ejaculating random video game themed YouTube videos all over our front page. But it's July 3rd and no one on the entire Internet seems to be working today, meaning there's not a hell of a lot of news. And yet Kotaku's bloggers must soldier on.

So enjoy this full-on Doom geek out session between Jon Stewart and The Rock. On the plus side, The Rock really seems to know and love the game, but on the negative, he brazenly lies to us about the quality of the Doom movie. Stewart should have shot him with that BFG.

<![CDATA[Jon Stewart Covers Gaming Senate Debate Video]]>

Yesterday, we reported The Daily Show With Jon Stewart covered the video game foofurall. Today, we've got the vid. It's totally great, except for the last bit, which retroactively makes the whole thing a lot less funny. Just turn it off when they do the live, on-the-streets report from San Andreas.

The best line in the whole thing is actually not gaming related at all, but about the failure to raise minimum wage: "The lower strata of society has had a free ride for too long and if you were to give them $7.25 an hour, you just know it would go up their nose and down their hose." And in a mere 36 words, Jon Stewart expertly summarized the plight of the Kotaku blogger.
