1) the hell is with the british accent and non-persian look?
2) where is his big nasty sword and poofy white pants?

the british accent and non-persian look are due to it being a movie as well. they probably couldn't find a decent actor who also happened to be persian. it happens all the time. get over it.
and your two whines about the character design? those are ALWAYS changed in movies. it's about looking cool, not making sense. it's a damn movie. get over it, ffs. #princeofpersia

If it's supposed to be a movie adaptation then shouldn't the movie characters atleast somewhat resemble the game characters? I just thought the prince in the movie lacked authenticity or something....maybe saying he detracted from the atmosphere and theme of the movie is more accurate? Either way, being a movie based off video game, I think some part of the game should follow over into the movie besides the running, jumping and sandstorms. Atmosphere, themes and character development are all huge parts of what makes a game great or unique, the "it's a movie get over it" arguement is what prevents movie adaptations from being as great as their book or video game predecessors. Why should I trade logic/common sense for visual appeal or "coolness"? If I'm watching a movie, I'd much rather be immersed in the story/plot/dialogue and have everyone wearing plastic bedsheets, than spend the entire movie being unimpressed with "badass" visuals and an unengaging fictional universe. #princeofpersia

character development is something you can't just based solely on what little we've seen in the trailer.
and how in god's name is the character design worse at all? it's damn near a carbon copy of the Warrior Within armor, ffs. [image.com.com]

Also, I hope Ubisoft's "big announcement" is merely another PoP title and not a Street Fighter-esque "The Game based on the movie based on the game" fiasco.
As for the trailer, it's everything I was expecting from the Bruckheimer/Disney duo. Sure people will find things to bitch about (they always find things to bitch about), but it looks like the solid, summer blockbuster I was expecting it to be. I'm sure it won't win any Emmys, but it'll be more than watchable/enjoyable. #princeofpersia

The last Prince of Persia stirred up sadness, fear, anger, and regret. No video game has ever made me laugh or cry as much as that game did. Sorry you're so pissed that you can't rewind time to see what an amazing game it was. #princeofpersia

I mean, look at Silent Hill. Sure, the ending was stupid, they destroyed some characters, but at least it stuck true to the game.

That's what I think anyway...I really can't see Ubi making a top tier PoP sequel to last years gem AND another PoP for the movie in the same year unless its a LIVE Arcade release.....or PSN. #princeofpersia
