Cruis'n Isn't The Worst-Looking Wii Game Anymore

Color me puzzled. Why would anyone, and I mean anyone, want to port a horrid, mostly unseen coin-op rail shooter from 2004 to the Wii?

Maybe Konami thinks the kitsch factor will outweigh what will soon officially be the worst graphics on the Wii console. That's right this makes Cruisi'n look like a Playstation 2 game. I'd blame the horrid graphics on the Wii, but I've seen the arcade game and they were just as bad on the 2004 coin-op, maybe worse.

A take-off of the original, digitized-photo meets sub-par graphics rail shooter Area 51, Target: Terror will be compatible with the Wii Zapper and has players take on the role of an elite counter-terrorist agent taking down a wave of terrorists, all of whom happen to wear sunglasses or bandannas. The original game actually featured a level at the Denver Airport, but it was so horribly generic I couldn't convince my editors at the Rocky to do a story about it.

Target: Terror will also include mini-games and is due out in the first quarter of 08. Two more screens after the jump.

Lost Planet PS3 Burns My Eyes, Their Blood Soothes

To be fair, Lost Planet for PS3 still has plenty of time before its TBA 2008 release date. But this mech looks just plain bad. Please Lost Planet, don't live up to that worse on the PS3 than it was on Xbox 360 stereotype. It's not too late to either change your ways or admit that the screenshot contains elements from an unannounced PSP version. Click the pic for a mega image.

UPDATE: Despite some disbelief, Capcom has confirmed this is a legit PS3 image. Here's the gallery from whence it came. Some images look better, some don't.

Xbox 360 Nares Hair Jaggies

Smooth hair. That's what the 360 amounts to, smooth hair. Gamespot has another Xbox to Xbox 360 series of comparison pictures. This time around the images show the difference between an Xbox game on the original hardware and the same one on the 360.

It's not a huge difference, but at least they were able to manage to lick the hair jaggies in Halo 2. Smooth hair baby, smooth hair.
