Some guy posted an airplane for the next game's means of transportation, That made me think of having-instead of a plain plane-an airship :D that would be cool, we don't see airships in the world of Hyrule.
@Archaotic:
I've been playing through Phantom Hourglass on the DSi all week, and I must agree with the "forgettable" part, the controls are terrible (in my opinion of course) and it lacks any of the charm that Link's Awakening had.
Although I'm one of those people who found Wind Waker an absolute task to play through, so maybe fans of that enjoy these? Mehh I dunno, I think I'll pass on this if it's still the same control scheme, although I do love trains!
@Strife Fox †: Yeah, I wasn't a fan of Wind Waker either (aside from the endgame, which was UTTERLY epic) and the reusal of that setting combined with the painful stylus-only gameplay just killed it for me, which is a shame because I LOVE Link's Awakening and the Oracle games.
This seems to be in the same vein as Phantom Hourglass, and considering Nintendo's a bunch of cockbags who programmed and FINISHED a "buttons" control scheme and then cut it out before releasing PH, I doubt they'd add it back in for ST.
@Strife Fox †:
You guys are crazy. Phantom Hourglass was great. The touch screen made for some cool new puzzles. (Drawing your own map anyone?). Plus I really liked the stylus combat controls. Tapping on a bad guy and having link zip across the screen and attack made him feel like a ninja.
@kevko: I'm not saying it shouldn't have been in the game, but Nintendo promised us the option to use a button-based control scheme and demoed it with one, then cut it out before launch to force everyone to use the stylus all the time. I'm not okay with that.
@Thorax: It's not a problem. I'm just wondering why the DS games are getting pushed to the side in the wait for a 'real' Zelda game, when in all honesty I flamed out halfway through TP because I felt like I had done it all before.
Link gets a lot of credit for vanquishing dark lords, dragons, and chickens who had it comming to them. But he never gets credit for what is possibly his greatest achievement:
He has never lost an argument.
Look for him to continue his streak this December.
I liked PH and, while I think the train idea is pretty lame, I'm sure the core will still be good and I'm sure I'll like this one too. See you in December, Link!
I'm pretty surprised that people are getting upset about the new branding, so Sony wants to rebrand the system, it's been done before (i.e. PSX, PS1, PSOne). Also, the whole changing the box art is no where near as big as when they changed the PS1 cases from those hulking boxes to standard CD jewel cases.
@Zephrit: I"m not surprised that some people are bitching about the most petty of things. Specifically those here that go out of their way to bitch about everything, in every post that comes along.
It just shows a lack of true priorities, in my opinion.
A better comparison would have been this, since you used Naruto anyhow. I'm sure there are other splitface shots in Naruto, possibly even some on covers of DVDs.
This boxart is uninspired, boring, and lifeless. It says nothing about the game; the gameplay, the plot, the characters, nothing. Clank isn't holding the new time scepter, Ratchet isn't using his hoverboots, there aren't any other characters even hinted at. There's no way to know what kind of game this is. It could be a puzzle game or a fighter with this cover.
I'm really looking forward to this game. Tools of Destruction was bundled with my PS3 when I bought it around xmas of 2007 and I really enjoyed that game. It was also my first experience with series as I didn't have a PS2.
ToD had everything I could ask for. Awesome graphics, amazing gameplay and really funny writing especially when it came to Captain Quark. I found it to be a little on the easy side, but it still didn't detract from the experience. Insomniac really got creative with the weapons too. Speaking of which, does anyone know if the groove-atron makes a return in this one? It really came in handy, especially during the arena battles.

At least the console games have gameplay that doesn't cause me physical pain to engage in.

Hehe... I suppose the innuendo title is sort of par for the course on these games.
