@SlinkyGuy - So British, I piss tea and poop...: Haha, I can just imagine holding that horrid wheel to your ear. Like, you'd pick up a phone call, and the chair would lift up with it as you put the phone to your ear.
@Mentuss: actually, let me add to that, now I've browsed the website and looked at the products other than the bowling ball and the steering wheel.
Wow, CTA REALLY have the "peripherals for stupid people" market wrapped up, don't they?
A tripod for a DSi? Yes. I'll be needing one of those for all those professional style photos I will be taking with the device's high quality camera.
I can't wait to stick this on a chair and kneel down so I can look like a complete idiot, when just holding the iphone alone in my hands is just as effective!
Thought process: The iPhone is portable an all-in-one, stylish, sophisticated device with an innovative input system to create unique gaming experiences...so let's make a second thing to carry around that lets you play games exactly like every other system, ever. Let's also keep it separated from the iPhone so that it's completely impractical for portable gaming. We can shape it like a bone to make it as cheesy as possible for those that are sick of "looking cool". Oh, and we'll be sure to announce the device with only a crappy concept sketch so people can be fully confident in our ability to deliver.
I like Fahey's suggestion. Mobile phone gaming could be improved ten fold just from the addition of actual hardware keys. Touch control is great when a game's designed for it or crafted to work with it. But if you're presenting ports of D-Pad native apps, a real hardware in your hands and easily accessible D-Pad is the way to go.
Though, as Song Summoner on the old iPod showed us, Turn Based Strategy translates frightning well to touch wheel control!
@Tubatic: agreed. i dont know what apples smokin.. but a slide iphone with a click wheel on the left side.. and a scroll ball ala blackberry on the right.. add a keyboard in the middle.. and bam. make a couple of the keys from the keyboard function as buttons for games.. and theyd have an excellent device.

Haven't you ever watched a cartoon? Anything even vaguely bone-shaped makes dogs go apeshit. You should know this!
