I could never really get into this series for one reason. The whole "if an ally dies you lose him forever" bullcrap. I know it's supposed to add challenge, but when I have to reset the game several times just to avoid losing a character I put a lot of time into, that just stinks of bad design to me. Sometimes trying to add realism comes at the cost of fun and function.
@Mister Jack Made a Killzone 2 Clan: While I do understand what you mean, I think that's why they added a very important part to the tutorial section of the game: for one of the chapters, you HAVE to sacrifice someone. As a player who is prone to constantly restarting in order to save everyone, it was a solid reminder that it's all about using/losing people strategically. Of course you're not going to let it go if a favourite character dies (I'm a sucker for pegasus knights in general), but if sacrificing a much more minor character for the sake of strategy is what's expected of you in the game, why not?
Played it yet? Its got a lot less stress than previous FE's, the amount of dead character replacement is much higher, meaning it doesn't cause you to tear out you hair every time you lose one.

@SatansBestBuddy: Wow... me and my brother finished Hard level without losing one character and unlocking all possible characters. It was pretty easy for us to be honest. What I most liked in Radiant Dawn was the charactert style...
Ya I did the same, and while it certainly was a challenge, it isn't that hard with patience.
Also Andrezao, curious as to whether you used the Beast Kings, as that would make the game a LOT easier. The real challenge is not using those characters.

yeah, I have mild OCD, so Fire Emblem was not enjoyable for me at all. Advance Wars was much more my cup of tea...
oh, and, Tactic's Ogre, because you don't lose your characters (at least, I don't remember you being able to...)

And I think you could lose your Ogre characters, but only after you had a chance to revive them. I could be wrong though.

probably because everybody bitched about how difficult Radiant Dawn was. There's an easy mode for a reason folks: use it.
