So Why Didn't Wii Ghostbuster Copy The Cartoon? |

I, for one, am very glad this game is based on the movie and not the cartoon. Evidently I might be in the minority on this issue here. But IMO, basing this game on the cartoon would have signaled that it was a kids' game, and it probably would have turned off a lot of the folks who bought the game because of the movie. Since the movie works on many layers, and most of those layers are actually rather adult-friendly, adults have no problem expressing enjoyment for the movie. Less so the cartoon past the age of 8 or 9.

I miss the ability to put that stuff on and run around pretending to shoot ghosts without being judged by watching eyes. Sigh.

Oh, and in the entire time I had it...
The ghost in a can never got opened. Ever. Its a metal can, sounding pretty empty inside but says it contains a ghost on the outside.
Anyone who had one of these knows what I'm talking about. But I never had the strongest sense of curiosity as a child to open it, and as I grew older, kind of maintained that little piece of tradition.

There was a slime can you could buy, but this was just a literal sealed metal can (that you would need a can opener for) that talked about all the dangers lurking within.
Pretty funny that a metal empty can was considered a rad toy worthy of enough respect to not desecrate the warnings by ripping it apart to see what was inside.
I've always been curious, but not curious enough. :P

What was unfortunate was how much Ray didnt look like Ray at all in the Wii version, but everyone else sorta resembled their "original" characters.
