    @ludwigk: They never really did. Any achievement awarded through normal progression isn't an achievement. Bioshock for example, you get half the points if you progressed through the game. :( #windows

    @slotter: Yeah, I'm just being an emo drama kid. I've been on the *other side* of achievement points, seeing how they're developed and implemented, so I'm keenly aware of how meaningless they truly are. #windows

    @ludwigk: Same, I blame the 'having to have 1000 points' standard. It really destroys the would-be creativity in them. As they are now, they're rushed, on the back burner, and just another check box to mark, for Devs. #windows

    @IvanTheOcean: the insane achievements can be cool, like playing the "Endless Playlist" in RB, or getting one of those crazy "kill everyone without getting hurt" ones from a fighting game.

    The progression ones are completely lame. "What? 15 G points for finishing lvl 2? Ugh..." The only thing M$ doesn't allow is basically purchasing gamer points. Just to meet Achievement Points reqs from M$, and then DLC reqs from corporate, we inadvertently had a means of purchasing a DLC that satisfied an Achievement. That's about the only thing M$ will make you take out for being completely asinine. #windows

    That's cute.

    If TF2 is still in style by the time I get my own kids, I'll have the older one wear a medic costume too so that the beam from the gun could be wrapped around the younger kid to keep him from running around.

    Good job on the costumes. If only they had spent as much time cleaning their house. One can just hope that's clean laundry on the couch. Tsk tsk parents. #teamfortress2

    This goes to show that how integrated the Xbox brand has finally become at Microsoft's HQ. And to think, 9 years ago, there were huge pissing matches, drama fits and civil wars being fought there over the very idea of releasing a home console, much less the 6 to 8 billion dollars in losses and the three complete console gens the Xbox team had projected before they even had a install base of 10+ million units in one market or would make a profit.

    Even Gates wasn't too keen on the idea. They had to remind him that at one time, he wasn't so keen on releasing 95 ether. #windows
