In heavily populated urban areas, many streets are narrow, making it difficult to drive enormous American cars through them.

Nonetheless! There is a set of folks in Japan who are big fans of huge American automobiles. Those with money, shell out big time for Hummers. Those without, can play this SEGA arcade game, and the environment is better for it.

Dubbed simply Hummer, the game features a deluxe cabinet with movements that respond to in-game driving. The game runs on SEGA's Lindbergh arcade hardware system and can support up to 8 players. Players can take tuned-up H1s, H2s or H3s for a spin on self-explanatory tracks like "Bluster Canyon", "Isolated Jungle", "Caribou Valley" and "Industrial Hill."

Our only gripe: Shouldn't the back of the cabinet feature the Hummer's back and not its front?

<![CDATA[Hummer Designers Deny Halo Influence On New Concept Truck]]> That new Hummer HX concept? Totally a Warthog rip-off, we all know it. Or is it?! Yes. Of course, it is. Even though Carl Zipfel, GM's director of exterior design for the concept ride on display at the North American International Auto Show, denies finding inspiration in Halo's staple vehicle, we believe the side-by-side comparisons of the two remove any doubt that Hummer has swiped. Did anyone else notice both have four wheels? The designer even admits to being "an Xbox guy," telling mLive that several of the vehicle's designers play Halo regularly.

We will not stand for these lies, Zipfel! Give the Bungie design team their due and all associated royalties should the car come to production. We're mad as hell and we're not going to take it any more, etcetera, etcetera.

<![CDATA[Hummer Concept Car Looks More Than A Bit Warthog-y]]> It may not look quite as Warthog-y as WETA's own fully-functioning recreation of the ubiquitous Halo ride, but Hummer's HX Concept certainly looks like it will appeal to those raised on the adventures of Master Chief. According to our brothers at Jalopnik, coming from their coverage of the Detroit Auto Show, the Warthog-esque concept vehicle features removable roof panels, fender flares and doors, but no mention is made of support for mounted turrets. A rich gallery full of pretty pictures and details reside at Jalopnik.

<![CDATA[Crash of the Titans: The Hummer]]> Kotakuite Simon sent in this photo of this Crash Bandicoot themed Hummer he spied at the Annual Balloon Fiesta in Bristol, U.K. I could try to write something clever about it but it wouldn't come close to Simon's descriptions of the actual event so I'll let him do the talking on this one.

Has spinners, the works. All with a Wii on the inside that people can play. Opposite side of picture, staff weren't too keen of me getting a snap. Some man from Kodak stood there playing with it for about an hour so no children could have a go. Sadly as with most things Crash these days it didn't bring much attention to the franchise. To sum it up from the words of a trusty Nachos eating festival goer "So which of you lucky men gets to drive this bad boy?" And cue countless parents trying to introduce their kids to the wonderful world of spinners.

You know, I have always thought of the British as a classy people, but it's good to know that they enjoy nachos, Hummers and spinners just as much as us classless Americans.
