Super Show back in the late 80s, is now on Hulu for your trip down memory lane pleasure.

I feel kind of silly now, having bought the whole thing on DVD some years back. At the time I thought it would be a wonderful edition to my collection and that I'd get all the nostalgia mileage out of it that I did out of Jem and the Holograms on DVD.

Apparently, memory had blocked a few things out. Now, the DVD case just sits there covered in dust along with all the other DVDs in my collection I never watch anymore because they cause physical pain.

Thanks for the tip, Dan!

P.S. I didn't notice this as a kid, but what is up with Zelda's pants? It's like primordial camel toe.

P.P.S. My favorite Zelda cartoon episode is actually the crossover episode they did with Captain N. Now there's a box set I need to get.

<![CDATA[Stream Hulu, Netflix To Your Wii]]> MediaMall's PlayOn service (already on 360 & PS3) is about to enter "open" beta for the Wii, which is good news for owners looking to expand their machine's usefulness. Why? Because it streams both Netflix and Hulu, that's why.

It does this by acting as a bridge-building web interface, so you're basically just using both services' web offerings on your Wii. But still! Your Wii is hooked up to your TV, and has a remote, so surely a few people will find this of interest.

If you want to try it out, you can sign up to the beta over on MediaMall's site. You'll get a 14-day trial for free, and if you want to keep using it after that, you'll have to pay $40.

<![CDATA[Second Skin Documentary Debuts In Theaters, On Hulu]]> Second Skin, Pure West Films' documentary about the lives of the people behind the players of massively-multiplayer online games, hits select theaters today, but if you can't make it there's always Hulu.

Second Skin provides a rather balanced look at the relationships formed via online games, from friendships to romances to relationships that go even deeper still. It's funny, disturbing, and disturbingly funny at the same time. I particularly enjoyed the slice-of-life moments they included, such as when the World of Warcraft players ran out of toilet paper. Don't laugh. It happens.

I'd highly recommend catching it in the theater if you can, but if you can't, ad-supported free video site Hulu has you covered.

<![CDATA[Hulu Tries To Explain Why It's Blocking The PS3, Fails]]> Last month, streaming video service Hulu began blocking the PlayStation 3's web browser from accessing its content, a practice that continues to this day without official explanation. But customer service has attempted to explain the decision, somewhat cryptically.

G4 received a response from Hulu that might leave one more bewildered about the change than not having read it. Hulu calls the change a "tough decision," one that it would "do so when we believe it improves our long-term prospects to build a more enduring, legal solution to that same problem." Clear?

Probably not. But Hulu's response also touches on "the windowing strategy [that] is still dominant in the business." What they mean by that, we think, is the availability of content at theaters or on television, and when that content is made available on DVD, Blu-ray and via digital distribution. And how the entertainment industry kind of likes that model. And that things like the PS3 are messing with their model. And that somebody holding the rights to that content doesn't like that.

Hey, you read it, and tell us what you think they're saying.

<![CDATA[That Hulu That Your PS3 Won't Do]]> Some PS3 websurfers have reported that, as of this morning, they're no longer able to play Hulu videos. Engadget dug through the Hulu TOS and thinks it knows why.

The PS3 had access to Hulu thanks to the console browser's flash support, leading some to wonder if this was a glitch or a block caused by the firmware. But do not adjust your set, reports Engadget:

The Hulu TOS was just updated as of June 26, and although we haven't found any PS3-specific passages, changing a browser's user-string to match the console reveals it is definitely being specifically blocked.
