Rumor: LittleBigPlanet Invading Hot Shots Golf

Consider this littlebigrumor for now, but it looks like the Sackboy cross-promotion won't be stopping anytime soon. PlayStation-centric site PSN! is reporting that the star of LittleBigPlanet is going to hit the virtual links soon.

The Spanish PlayStation site writes today that Sackboy will join God of War series star Kratos as a downloadable golfer in Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds. Sounds perfectly reasonable to us — and far more fitting than the Greek god of war or Darkstalkers' Morrigan landing birdies. We'd expect to see many, many more appearances in first-party PlayStation 3 games on par with this one.

For the record, PSN is the same outlet that ran that Street Fighter Sackboy rumor, for whatever that's worth.

Hot Shots Golf PS3 Golfers Only 99 Cents

Sony is readying the first batch of DLC for Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds, and rather than burden us with a brand new course to play on, they're gifting us with two new female golfers to play on the courses we've already clubbed to death since the game came out. Hot Shots regular Gloria finally makes her triumph return, showing off her Expert skill, bringing with her Alex, the plucky blonde newcomer with mad intermediate skillz. Both girls are yours for the low price of 99 cents a piece, perfect for those of you who have tiny leftover balances in your PSN accounts. Both new swingers will be available tomorrow via the PlayStation store.

Hot Shots Golf: Out Of Bounds Review: Insert Golf Term

Wealthy men walking with sticks. This is what I see every day when driving past the exclusive country club down the street from where I live, and about my only real exposure to the real world of golf. The closest I get to playing golf these days is the Hot Shots Golf series, which features cutesy characters with sticks, sans walking. Now Sony and developer Clap Hanz bring the franchise to the PlayStation 3 with Hot Shots Golf: Out Of Bounds, and I've gone several rounds with the title to see how the series fares on Sony's latest console.
