Naturally, this game plus an editor to create your own levels is free and available for download.

You move about the map, aiming a portal gun with your stylus to finish the level and grab pieces of cake along the way (naturally.) DS Fanboy raved about the game, conceding it lacks the graphics of the original but "it definitely has the feel and charm." Hell, I love the look on its own. Has a kind of Cartoon Networky mien about it. I just want to poke that guy in his tummy with the stylus, Pillsbury Doughboy style ...

Eh, er, OK, back to news. You can download it from the programmer T4ils, and if you need a guide on how to homebrew for the DS, DS Fanboy has that as well. There's also a screenshot gallery on DS Fanboy.

<![CDATA[When XBox Modding Meets Incredulity]]>

A vanilla XBox meets " V1.0, 120gig HD, Xecuter 3 CE chip, Latest BIOS, Front Control Panel(LCD/USB/Pro Switch), Lava Decal Kit, LED's, 2" Neon tubes(7 color and beat to music), Cold Cathodes, Lighted controller ports, brighter red eject LED, custom jewel with cold cathode, ATA166 HD cable, and might add a DVD Drive Window later on. Dashboards/Operating Systems: X3 Dash, EvoX, RemoteX, XBMC, UnleashX, Avalaunch, Linux(workin on it) and MS Dash."

Result? An XBox that looks like it was put through a Cronenberg transporter device with a Christmas tree. Spend 1,000 plus dollars for the pimpingest last gen console on the street!

<![CDATA[Max Media Dock Makes Your DS All PSP-Like]]> maxmediadock.jpg

Our gearheaded brother site Gizmodo dug up this MAX Media Dock for the DS and DS Lite. Plug the device directly into the handheld's GBA port, and the MAX can play MP3s, show JPEGs and run homebrews. It goes on sale this week for $39 (just the dock), $79 (1GB CF card and dock) and $119 (2GB CF card and dock). Take that PSP, take that!

<![CDATA[PSP Modchip Specs and Pic]]>

PSP owners, rejoice. Max Console has more details on the world's first PlayStation Portable modchip, the Undiluted Platinum. The chip (dubbed "U.P.") is a replacement flash that allows folks to run homebrew code on the latest PSP systems. Here's the technospeak from Max Console:

The U.P. contains 32MB NAND flash which is programmable from the PC via a high speed USB connection, using our user friendly software. You may boot the PSP from either its onboard flash or the flash contained on the U.P; the flash which is used is determined by a button press as the PSP is powered on (U.P. flash is used by default, hold L1 to use the PSP onboard flash). Since U.P. provides a secondary flash which the PSP can boot from, it can even be used to restore a PSP which has been "bricked".

Play homebrews and get the latest firmware updates? Brillant!

More Here [Max Console] Thanks, Brad!
