Inside you'll find a spot to sign up for a newsletter, the trailer we posted yesterday, and the screenshots we posted the day before, along with a few choice new additions. Ah, but wait! You cannot simply enter the website...that is not the way of the ninja. You must first discover the correct combination on the puzzle wheel before you can get to the goodies inside. If only there were some sort of giant hint, staring you right in the face. Until that appears, you'll just have to blindly fumble for the solution.

<![CDATA[ Hidden RE4 Wii Trailer Unearthed ]]>

A stalwart reader over at GoNintendo was poking around the Japanese Resident Evil 4 Wii site and discovered a link to a special "hidden page." This hidden page itself contained a link to yet another secret page that contained a new trailer for the upcoming port.

Nice looking trailer, but I'm still unsure about the Wii controls they've come up with. I mean all that waving back and forth just to get leon to run like hell seems like it's going to be a bit of a strain on the wrist after a while. I'll be getting a chance to see exactly what the controls will be like when I attend a Capcom press event later this week in NYC. If I can manage to type with possibly broken wrists, I'll let you know how they are.

<![CDATA[ The Easter Egg Archives ]]> eastereggcard.jpgEaster is a time when people come together to celebrate Jesus sticking his head out of his cave and seeing his shadow, heralding six more weeks of winter. While I probably could have paid more attention in church as a boy, I fondly remember the yearly Easter egg hunt, a tradition that some gamers practice all year long.

I speak, of course, of video game Easter eggs...tricks you can perform in a computer or console title that reveal little hidden bits place there by developers to reward the incredibly lucky or incessantly curious. It all started back in the Atari 2600 game Adventure, when a programmer left a secret message in a hidden room.

Nowadays Easter eggs are much more common, and you can get a good idea of how much so by visiting the The Easter Egg Archive, which catalogs not only gaming eggs but also movie, DVD, TV, music, book and art eggs as well.

Kotaku Fun Tip: Did you know that in the PS1 game Beast Wars: Transmetals if you pressed a certain button sequence the game actually became playable? Not true!

Plenty of real Easter eggs await you at the Easter Egg Archive. Enjoy the holiday!

<![CDATA[ SPAM Alert: Fight Night 3 PSP Costs Privacy ]]> I was tinkering with the Playstation Portable version of Fight Night Round 3 tonight when I decided to check out the online play.

Imagine my shock when a message popped up telling me that I had to either pay $2 or give my privacy away to ESPN and whoever they feel like selling my details to, if I wanted to play online.

I shit you not, it's a requirement for ALL online play in this game. How insane is that. Granted $2 is next to nothing, unless you don't have a credit card. If you don't have a credit card, it's either give ESPN your info (including email) or don't play.

I sure hope Sony doesn't continue down this ugly path. Imagine having to give up your email and, in essence, signing up for spam, just to play SOCOM 4 online.

I don't know if this is a Sony or an EA idea, but it stinks to high heaven. Although my version of this game is a retail final, it didn't come with packaging, so I don't know if they let buyers know ahead of time they have to pay an extra $2 or opt-in to email delivered advertising.

I'll see what I can find out on Monday. In the meantime let me know what you think of this idea.

<![CDATA[ Hidden Achievements Unveiled ]]> gohero.png

Another site has launched to track Xbox 360 achievements. Achieve360points.com is trying to not only list all of the achievements, hidden and not, but also show the pictures for them. (Like the one above for the Galactic Order of Heroism in Quake 4).

The site also has FAQs and walkthroughs for games.
