They take their metal seriously, and EA Denmark has the list of more than 100 songs in the game.

Here is the list, according to the page (translated to English), which I screenshot just in case it gets taken down. It's consistent with this leak of about 10 songs on the soundtrack. The announcement is not dated, and does not appear to be linked from the main ea.dk site.

<![CDATA[Titmouse Nabs Heavy Metal For Sexy Sci-Fi Adventures]]> Not enough nubile warrior princesses/sexy robots in your video games? Since the answer to that is obviously "Yes," you're clearly excited about Titmouse Games new arrangement to create games based on Heavy Metal magazine fiction.

The recently announced development studio, already hard at work on Seven Haunted Seas, has a serious catalog of fantasy and sci-fi properties, almost all of them full of nearly-naked space travelers, to capitalize upon. The deal will almost assuredly put the "tit" in Titmouse.

The first project to come from the collaboration with Heavy Metal is Fistful of Blood, described as "an over-the-top action game about an Alien Bounty Huntress who comes to earth in search of the creature that killed her father, only to find herself caught in a blood feud between rival gangs of Vampires and Zombies."

The official announcement promises "in-your-face content." What it doesn't promise are games packed full of sexy chicks. Oh wait, it does.

"We want to start Titmouse Games off right, and I can't think of a better way than to pack enough aliens, zombies, vampires, guns, blood, gore, vengeance, and sexy chicks in a game to take down a stampeding elephant," says Aaron Habibipour, Creative Director for Titmouse Games.

As Titmouse has designs to "'keep-it-real' through the digital distribution of original content," we're guessing that its Heavy Metal licensed titles will be of the downloadable variety.

<![CDATA[Giant Robots Help Kill Tabula Rasa]]> NCsoft's doomed massively-multiplayer online science fiction game Tabula Rasa may only have weeks to live, but the developers are making those weeks count, with giant player-controlled mechs storming the title's final moments.

Role-playing pioneer Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa might be dead come February 28th, but the team behind the title continue to show their dedication to the game's dwindling fanbase by patching in the promised player-controlled mech robots at the last moment, perhaps delivering a taste of what might have been had the game not tanked so horribly.

Five new mechs have been added to the Edmund Range Training Grounds zone in the game, which has been newly enlarged in order to accommodate some heavy metal combat. While four of the mechs are class-themed, any class can take them for a spin, provided they have the Logos symbols necessary to activate the suits' special abilities.

With the addition of the new mech suits, now would be the perfect time to login to the now free-to-play Tabula Rasa and give them a go. Well, I suppose now would be the only time to do so.

<![CDATA[Scrap Metal Big Daddy]]> Not to be outdone by the amazing cardboard Big Daddy costume, artist Rangsan Srisutarm has created this kick ass Big Daddy figure currently for sale on eBay. The listing proclaims it to be a one of a kind piece made entirely out of real engine parts and motorcycle parts. It's arc welded, polished with a wire brush and painted with a lacquer coating. This little Big Daddy stands nineteen inches tall and weighs a whopping thirty pounds. The cost stands now at a rather pricey $300 or you could "Buy it Now" for $400. That plus the (I'm sure) expensive cost for shipping puts it well out of my price range, but it sure is cool to look at.

Now, could someone out there get to work on a Big Daddy papercraft?

<![CDATA[Metroid... METAL!]]>

I love this little picture of Samus rocking out with her 8-bit guitar. What is she thrashing? Metroid tunes gone metal, naturally.

MetroidMetal.com is a place to celebrate the mysterious and hypnotic melodies from Nintendo's classic game series, Metroid.

These songs beg for more energy, so I've created this site to experiment with the genre that would suit these songs the best... metal.

Now if only we could get Torokun to do an image of a bikini-clad Samus climbing out of her mech-armor, sticking out her tongue and flashing devil horns.

<![CDATA[Iron And The Maiden Announced]]>

Ha ha! Plucking his title like a tick from the retarded skull of the smelliest metal head doofus who ever lived, ex-Naughty-Dog Jason Rubin has announced on his — ha ha ha! — MySpace page that his next game will be called Iron and the Maiden.

After 20 years at Naughty Dog I've decided to try something new. "Iron and the Maiden" will be my first solo project.

It isn't "Crash Bandicoot", and it isn't "Jak and Daxter".

This is something new. Raw, Uncensored, Uncut.

It's been in the back of my head for years looking to get out, and I've assembled an incredible team to bring it to fruition.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! *sniff* No, we're sorry, really, please excuse us. *snicker* It sounds like a really great game, Jason! *chortle* METAL!

<![CDATA[Hackers, Heavy Metal Hit PSP This Month]]> heavmet.jpg

Sony hit me up with a list of some new movies hitting the Playstation Portable in UMD format this month. The Mask of Zorro, Hackers, Heavy Metal, Species and Terminator almost all sound like worthy additions. Both Bewitched and The Amityville Horror will be hitting DVD and UMD on the same day, which says something not sure what, but I m sure it says something.
