She's definitely a cutie. Here's hoping she has a bodyguard skilled enough to keep those stalkers away. Hell even I feel like visiting Japan all of a sudden.
I specifically remember one time i went to Trocadero with my friend and this girl was playing Tekken 3 with Eddy and was REALLY good which was a surprise because most people that play him spam LK+RK all day.
About 5 guys were near her talking amongst themselves about how they were gonna chat her up(she was very attractive too). They all played her and judging by the way they was playing i dont think any of those guys had played Tekken before but the simple fact that this girl was nice and was playing a game was enough for them waste their money.
I did play her and win :) My Jin was too awsome back then but she was really good and humble...she said those guys tried for about 20mins to beat her, she just wanted to finish the game.
@iRloading: I feel bad for my kid if he could only date a girl who liked video games, yup. He and his wife don't play much, but his friend used to be a huge Pong addict, and I just don't trust gamers like that.
@Sutekh_Slain: Wow that's so even, IMO Akuma is definatly leading that game, he loses by an inch even tho he most definatly hit Zangief many more times. The power of mega characters is here.
I love playing games which are as even as the one presented in that video. I hate losing them tho, because then I just want to play the same player more and more, however, they usually just want to continue on and fight other players. :)
Oh and yeah, girls are still rare, unique & legendary as video game players.
What bugs me greatly is how I'm told I must pay for the experience to enjoy games from some commenters here that are also developers. Unfortunately, I can't pay if I wanted to, but I also don't pirate, but I'm considered a pirate by the means to "experience" these games.
It isn't anything special, just simply going to a friend's place and checking out the game and probably playing it for a while. They'd also simply lend me their games and when I had them, I'd lend mine too.
In these troubling times I still haven't recovered my gaming collection, but I'd like to start fresh someday. By then, I'll be buying titles that no developers will ever benefit from because we may be moving onto the next-gen systems.
You developers can keep thinking that everyone should pay for the experience, but not everyone will be able to, let alone want. Hopefully, people that can support will always be able to so you can keep your jobs and perhaps make some great games in the process.
I just don't see how the argument works.
Perhaps I'm just a bad customer now since I can't afford to pay for such products like I used to be able to.
I want to be the Piracy Gaming Idol...here's my pic [www.nailbones.com] , and here is my counter-argument:
" I do not think people who don't buy the games have the privilege to enjoy them."
You'll be more than happy to know that I haven't enjoyed a game since...Wind Waker, and before that...oooh, FF9 and GiTS (psx) (and before those a ton of games, mostly NES). If video game companies didn't put out as much crap as they do nowadays, I'd be more inclined to pay the full retail price, instead of buying used or piracy, but as it is now I maybe get about 5 minutes of joy from a game before it just turns into the same I've seen before only dumber and worse (ie Fable 2, Halo 2-3, Super Mario Crapfactory 8, Shit 2009). You're a retro gaming idol but that doesn't even support the current generation of games- in fact, it does more to support the stores that rip off the publishers by selling games used than it does to support the publishers of said. And as a retro gamer you should fully understand the necessity of retro game piracy- how many people would be able to play such an excellent game as Hebereke (Ufouria in the EU) for the Famicom, when the cart is not even listed on Yahoo auctions and nearly impossible to find, even in retro speciality stores? Piracy allows people to enjoy games that they would normally never be able to enjoy. It also allows people to not pay for current stuff, but as much bad press as that is, I can't say no to piracy, for I too must have my Custer's Revenge.
Did piracy arise from people not wanting to pay for their games, or from game companies making games people don't want to pay for? Both.

So when will we start accepting that gamers come from all facets of society and aren't just sweaty little kids?
It feels like we aren't getting by that when we go "Woah, a girl who plays videogames and is good at it"
We should be saying "Curses, she is better than me! I'll get you next time, Haruna Anno *shakes fist*"
