Did you think PC strategy game Hardware: Shipbreakers looked a lot like Homeworld? Good. Because the developers have been given (or returned) the keys to the franchise.
Hardware: Shipbreakers, a strategy game being made by some of the guys behind the Homeworld series, has looked very gorgeous for a very long time. Problem is, in all that time, we'd never actually seen any gameplay footage.
Here's another trailer for the upcoming Hardware: Shipbreakers, a strategy title being worked on by some ex-Homeworld devs. It looks great, but then, so has everything else the team has released so far.
Cody Kenworthy is currently art director and CVO of Blackbird Interactive, the indie studio made up of a bunch of former Homeworld devs, and also the team behind Hardware: Shipbreakers.
In case you couldn't tell from the last time I featured this game on Fine Art, regardless of whether Hardware (or Hardware: Shipbreakers as it's now known) turns out to be amazing or awful, I will be praying for an art book.
