This midichlorian-packed match up should look familiar to those of us following the LucasArts-BioWare MMO, if a bit exaggerated. We're pretty sure dude on the left is supposed to be a Sith, by the way, and not FBI special agent Johnny Utah from Point Break.

Cheers to our anonymous BioWare sources. Jeers to every other game developer who didn't submit a Halloween Hangover costume report.

<![CDATA[ DIY Beam Katanas For Everyone: Act I ]]> No More Heroes fan Ed Palumbo created one of the best post-Halloween costumes we've seen with his homage to game star Travis Touchdown. He even went the extra mile, fashioning himself a fabulous real-life version of Touchdown's Blood Berry beam katana, possibly with the help of Aunty Gina. Star Wars fans ought to look away, for the project required the gutting of a light saber replica for maximum accuracy. Everyone else, enjoy the hard work Mr. Palumbo put not only into the beam katana, but that fabulous anime hair. Kudos!

<![CDATA[ How Volition Celebrated Halloween ]]> Yes. This again. Just because Halloween is now a full two days expired doesn't mean our tips inbox has engaged it's costume and pumpkin filter. For those keeping score, we've got Blizzard, NCSoft, Bioware, EA and Nihilistic in the running for best Western developer in Team Fortress 2 cosplay. Tired of this schtick? I can understand, but I really need some more blue teams to restore order to the Kotaku force. Plus, I'm pretty sure that's The Office's Steve Carrell as The Medic.

Thanks, Mike!

<![CDATA[ How Nihilistic Celebrated Halloween ]]> I really hope that the Team Fortress 2 Halloween crew at Nihilistic Software doesn't run into the Team Fortress 2 Halloween crew at Blizzard, because I'm sure bad blood about the cancellation of Starcraft: Ghost will result in at least one dead Sniper.

Thanks for the photo, Ethan.

<![CDATA[ How EA LA Celebrated Halloween ]]> No, we're not kidding. Yes, I specified EA Los Angeles, simply because we have no idea when EA Canada and EA Chicago will send us their pics and I want to be prepared. Anyway, at this point, a Team Fortress 2 battle between EA LA, NCSoft, Blizzard and Bioware could be the bloodiest battle to ever involve water cooler jugs and PVC tubing.

Also, I hope that Scout brought something a little more formidable than that bat, because he's six ways of screwed about now.

<![CDATA[ How Blizzard Celebrated Halloween ]]> The staffers at NCSoft and Bioware aren't the only ones who love themselves some Team Fortress 2—and costumes that can be thrown together for under $30—but might be concerned in the face of new competition - Blizzard! A solid effort and much much easier than fashioning oneself a Tauren chieftain outfit. The only problem is that Engineer. He sticks out like a sore thumb!

Oh, believe me, developers and readers, I can go all night with this schtick.

<![CDATA[ How Bioware Celebrated Halloween ]]> What's good enough for NCSoft is good enough for Bioware, I suppose, as these shots of game developers getting their Team Fortress 2 cosplay on also landed in our inbox this morning. That both teams opted for opposing color choices was what made the "This Is A Post-ometer" ping and ping hard. I'm hoping for some dev-to-dev LARPing in our future. Plenty of action scenes and Spy beatdown shots at the Flickr photostream.

Warning: scary, shirtless, Ultimate Warrior-dressed Canadian may make this gallery NSFW!

<![CDATA[ How NCSoft Celebrated Halloween ]]> The gang at NCSoft held its annual Halloween costume contest recently, and it appears that at least eight of the employees—but probably nine—are big fans of Valve's Team Fortress 2, an extremely popular group costume choice. Sorry, tipsters, we might not get around to posting everyone's fabulous video game-themed costume, but I'm pretty sure we're going to do at least one more. More pics of the team in fabulous costumes and the new official Richard Garriott photo at the Tabula Rasa site.
