Also, those of you asking about taxes on arcade games... Here in Texas we have to have tax stamps on all our arcade games that are for business use. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I believe you have to get one every year for every game.

the number one problem with arcades? the devs stopped making the games look better than the ones we have at home. if street fighter IV looked better than the one we have on our shelves/in our systems.. guaranteed people would still be throwing their quarters into the cabs. its really simple..

Retro arcade + bar. After 5pm all the minors are locked out, a DJ shows up every night to play the music of the day.

Sure, all the instruments are usually bsted up...but give the arcades time. They'll catch up.

I had one employee actually thank me once after I played RB for an hour or so with a few people, since before he had heard "Livin' on a Prayer" 10-15 times that day.

And yeah, arcades are dying. Nevermind that, but arcade games based on the same game everyone and their dog has at home don't really seem all that successful. But then again, what do I know, I've been playing DDR at arcades for years.

@Tiger-Fever: But on your point, arcades are dying. They've been on life support for years. And now with current gen support for online multilayer (for the most part, I know PS2/Xbox had some support) you're going to see them die even more.

And why they bother making arcade games anymore is beyond me. The only place we find anything that resembles an arcade around here anymore are the crappy poorly maintained theater arcades. A game like this is going to get trashed so fast and no one around will care enough to repair it.
