I have to say I am really impressed by those graphics. Development on the PSP continues to get better and better. My poor PSP-1000 is somehow still trucking along.... I'm waiting for it to croak so I can pick up the PSP GO! (I know its a waste of money. I can't help myself!)

And resist the urge to buy GO! I know, it's nifty, but don't encourage that "premium price."

This looks to be shaping up quite well. If those really are the in-game graphics, then color me impressed! Especially the detail to Altair.

Makes me wonder if Altair will be shown at all in any form in AC2. I kinda think he will be. Desmond being there is almost a given.

I know almost everyone who griped about the first one complained about the repetitive nature of the game itself (me inlcuded!). After watching someone from Ubi talk about it, it really seems like they listened to that one complaint the most.

Oh and the PSP-PS3 connectivity is good stuff! I wonder when MS will get in on the act.

Come to think of it,if not for the PS3 Xbox rivalry, I would've expected MS to release a few PSP games. Just to test their IPs on the portable front.

So long as it's not a far-gone translation like the DS version, I'll be happy. I've always wondered why there's this focus to make IPs portable, but the game is so drastically different. I mean, I understand the business reasons, but I think the portable market is the best venue for original content since the price tag is much much lower.

At least somebody still loves the Playstation brand :D

EDIT: They failed to mention swimming and one-button attack patterns and repetitive mission objectives that were once considered Altair's flaws.

@Kuwabara Kazuo: Whats not to love about the playstation brand? They kept us entertained for those 10 years while Nintendo was screwing around. They've also have given us hundreds of new IP's, from devil may cry to Jak and Daxter to Xenogears. I fail to see whats not to love.

@Slagathorian: Yeah, being a Monster Hunter fan myself, but people have these weird impressions that these devs have been avoiding certain costs which, I guess, I really have no idea about that ends up in favor of other consoles rather than the PS. Previous examples are Monster Hunter Tri and Monster Hunter Unite. A more recent example of that is the news of MvC2 being delayed two weeks after the 360 one.

@Slagathorian: I would think twice before giving credit to sony. that would be like giving credit to microsoft for gears or kotor or mass effect but the real credit goes to the developers. the only effort sony or microsoft put into those projects was a signature on a cheque. and I would barely call the last 10 years of nintendo "screwing around" when there was some quality stuff back then.

@ithyphallus of his own will recommends Kotaco!...: To you its a signature on a cheque, to them that is their lives, their business and their money. Its hardly a small deal as you seem to make it, and without those cheques, these games do not get made.

And I probably would not even be a gamer if not for sony, having long outgrown Nintendo by the time the cube rolled out. Sony was the best thing to happen to NIntendo, and even forced their hand to be unique which lead to the birth of the wii.

I'm more in the boat of wondering where all this animosity towards Sony is coming from? Especially from Kotaku readers, who I would all assume, had blasts on their PSX's, PS2's, and eventually their PS3's.
